The next day, as with every day, students must attend homeroom.
"You wanna eat first or try and get some pictures of the morning crowd?"
So Juliet takes his hand and chooses the closest restaurant.
"I never got to come into town proper before. Too many people. Made dad nervous."
"Glad to be of service."
It's a fairly small Mexican place. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, but it's a little cramped.
-by which point, Isaac has spotted them.
He continues eating, quietly.
He's sitting alone.
"He is your friend and he looks lonely... but I also want you to feel safe. You're my priority here."
"His dad isn't here. I don't think I could do it without you."
This isn't an answer, but it might be a hint.
She smiles up at him and gives him a brief kiss.
"We should go talk to him."
"Hey," she repeats with a smile. "I'm Juliet. And we are totally inviting ourselves to sit with you."
"Juliet and I get along pretty well. We don't need unanimity. I'll go where she goes, and she'll go where I go."
"I'll be expecting it in the mail then. I'm sure it'll be very heartfelt and thankful."
