The next day, as with every day, students must attend homeroom.
"I'm glad. You should probably sneak out the window, though. I'm not sure what they'll do if they see you."
"Full moon, obviously, yes. Silver, no. Wolfsbane is painful, weakens us and can kill. I can hear your heart beating and your blood rushing through your veins. You're parents are in the kitchen and are... talking about furniture?" She makes an amused face. "I heal quickly. Super strength... I can take away someones pain. Physical pain. And sometimes I can tell when people are lying."
"It's hard. I have to like them a lot. Love them, even. I've tried with a few of my tutors, which didn't work."
"A nice name for the two werewolves that my Uncle Stefan found to try and teach me control," she rolls her eyes.
"Not that I know of. Sean is a Wendigo though. So are my uncles, Stefan and Damon. I told you about them, remember?"
She snuggles close to him again instead.
"Me too. Lying to you was..." she trails off for a moment. "I didn't like it."
"Sean doesn't count. And Erica is probably very confused right now... but yeah. Just you."
"Are you going to tell Erica? I don't know her that well, I'm not sure we can trust her."
"She seems trustworthy. But not overly so that I was actually planning on telling her. I'm not sure we have much of a choice now."
"If she guesses wrong, I'm not going to correct her. But if she figures it out, I don't want to lie to her. Maybe she'll drop it." She pauses. "Werewolves can take people's memories away..."
"Save it for a rainy day. Maybe she's not the curious type? I just don't think it's good to let too many people know. We can't control anyone else."
"If she were a wolf too, I could control her. But if she were a wolf, the whole situation would be different, obviously."
"I think I'm glad you're the only werewolf at school, if the dodgeball incident is any indication."
