"Yeah, I think I am."

He waves as he heads for the door.

"See you, Daisy."

"Enjoy yourself."

Dusk is out front, as predicted, lounging at the base of the tree. She hops up when he comes out. "You might want a jacket or something, it gets chilly at night. Or I can take care of it."

"I'm gonna grab one just in case. Don't wanna make you be my space heater."

He runs off to the ship and returns with a well-loved leather jacket.

"Ok! Ready when you are."

She's grabbed her cloak and is putting it on by the time he gets back, and then gets out the speeder. "D'you have night vision, or did you not stay with the Jedi that long?"

"I've got it. They teach you that pretty quick."

"Good, I won't worry about finding the flashlight then." She sits at the back of the speeder's long seat and pats the space in front of her.

"...wait, am I driving?"

"Nah, I can reach. C'mon."

If she says so!

He hops on the speeder.

And off they go! The path is scrubby, but well enough defined that there's no real chance of losing it, and even going fairly slowly on the speeder it takes only ten minutes to reach the first installation.

It's a lightning study in wire, twice the height of a human, two bolts spreading out into a nest of sparks.

He hops off the speeder as soon as he can to walk up close to the sculpture.

She follows, and after a moment a little bolt of lightning comes from behind him, alarmingly close to his elbow, and hits the statue, lighting the whole thing up in pale blue sparks.

He laughs in delight and has to physically hold himself back from touching the thing.

"Not a great idea to do that while you're grounded, yeah," she chuckles. "Wouldn't kill you, but I'd rather not bring you back unconscious."

Aww, now he wants to touch it even more.

"How do you make it light up that long?"

"Custom build; I treated the wires so the electricity can't run between them as easily as it usually would, so it stays up in the structure longer. You could climb it, you won't be the best path to the ground if you aren't touching the ground."

He doesn't even need to hear anything past "you could climb it". He starts to scale the thing right away.

She only lets him get a foot or two off the ground before zapping it again, more gently this time. She's poised to catch him with telekinesis if he falls.

He flinches and makes a short, sharp noise when the electricity hits him, curling in towards the structure.

Then it passes and he laughs breathlessly.

"I like this one!"

She giggles, "good!" and gives it another zap, this one blue and painful.

His grip involuntarily tightens on the metal and he just about screams as the current crackles through his body, lighting up his nerves.

He's still laughing afterwards, though. It's exhilarating, trying to hang on while she charges the thing with lightning, but he's still too low for the risk of falling to mean anything. He tries to climb further up.

She keeps a close eye on what he's doing, so he's never really in danger, though it certainly seems it, sometimes - she'll zap him when he has only one hand on the statue, or with the green lightning that tries to push him off, or both at once.

He leaps from side to side, hangs off the thing one-handed, scrambles and dodges and then holds on for dear life every time the shocks come. It's amazing.

He reaches the top, or close, and looks down at her triumphantly.

Then he lets go.

He falls, for one glorious moment, and then the telekinesis appears, scoops him up and loops him through the air before setting him on his feet in front of Dusk.
