"That does sound weird." She hums thoughtfully. "I suppose I should have guessed that you'd have trouble with Force feedback."

"Force feedback?"

"Yeah - here, roll over so I can see you. When you use the Force like that, it heightens your emotions, especially negative ones and aggression. Varies, how much people are affected by it."

He rolls over obediently.

"Good to know it's not me wanting to catch something on foot, kill it with my teeth and cover myself in its blood."

He still feels it, knowing it's not quite his own, but it's more muted.

"Heh. Yeah. I have some meditations that'll help with it; that'll be the priority before you mess with it again, okay? Don't want to lose you to that, either." Hug.

Hug.

"That what happened with you?"

"Oh, no, no," she protests, alarmed. "I mean, you're not - it's not entirely unrelated. But there's no amount of this that would do that to you - you'd have problems, but -"

"...but not even close."

He looks at her with obvious concern. He can't help but wonder what it was like, what exactly it was that she went through, how much it still hurts. He wants her not to be in pain.

But he also knows it's not his business, really, and he withdraws a little.

"Not even close, yeah." She gives him a squeeze. "It was pretty horrible, but I'm okay now. I'm not going to risk you like that, though - it's way too easy not to be. Especially if you have trouble just with this."

"...okay. I'll trust you on that one."

Part of him rebels immediately. It's because she doesn't trust you. It's because she thinks you're too weak. He shoves it aside. This, he reminds himself, is infinitely better than nobody to tell him not to hurt himself at all.

"Hey." She brushes his hair out of his face, gently. "I want you to be okay. And nobody can be okay like that; I'd know. There's nothing good about it, not even for you."

The acknowledgement that what's good for him might be different is enough to get rid of most of his objections, along with the simple fact of her wanting him to be okay. He nods.

(He's being seen much more than he used to be. He really likes it.)

She grins, and gives him a quick kiss. "So, breakfast?"

"Yeah, after I fix these. I guess you can always give me some new ones."

"Mmhmm."

He sets to work on healing. Again, it's faster than it should be, and he twists and moves while he does it in the right ways to make the patchwork of burns really sting.

She watches, holding him loosely until doing so puts her in his way. "You aren't using a Force sense when you do that, are you," she comments when he's done.

"Huh? No. Regular senses work fine."

"They obviously work, but that might be why you can only heal yourself - can't affect something if you can't see it." She disentangles herself from the pillow nest and stands, stretching a bit, as she talks.

He nods.

"I should probably learn to do it the other way, huh. It's just...easier this way."

"Might be easier with the sense, once you get used to it. My Force senses are just senses for me, now; I can turn them off, but it's like walking around with my eyes closed, why would I do that."

He nods.

"That would be pretty cool."

"It is, yeah." She scoops him up. "But enough nerd talk, let's go eat."

The droids are already at the kitchen table, which has a bowl of peaches on it that wasn't there last night; breakfast is oatmeal with baked peaches, with whipped cream, cinnamon, and berry syrup for toppings.

Good food!

He starts to eat right away. He appreciates this oatmeal immensely.

Dusk gets a bowl too, and signs to Daisy while she eats.
