Sadde returns home, sleeps, and then goes to school the following day. He arrives and starts looking for Theo, but runs into—
"Not really. He hadn't noticed the hissing was weird, either, and said that you heal fast and didn't really get acne."
"Yeah, haven't had acne – I'm not sure if the fast healing thing is actually a thing, though, it's not like you can actually see it regrowing or I fix a bone in a day or anything." He frowns. "Not that I've ever broken a bone, I don't think?"
"I haven't either, I'm not sure that means anything. We should test you for, like, strength and speed and endurance and resistance somehow, since your schtick seems to be purely physical."
"Okay, but what, because I'd really rather not be too badly harmed if it turns out I have no resistance."
"… That sounds like it might be okay but if you're using one of those things you invite into your head to mess with my head, that sounds… not so safe."
"Um. Okay. Can we maybe test a small physical injury thing first since it might be that I just block some stuff outright and we can tell that by giving me a papercut or something first? Or… is that not a good idea?"
"It's harder to cause direct, small damage with magic. You usually use magic on tools for that."
Theo will stand here a little awkwardly, totally looking forward to having bits of his memory removed!
At least it's only like two seconds.
Willow gets the herbs, ties them together, and—
"Do you have anything to burn it with? Like a lighter or a match?"
So he does as such! He returns shortly with a box of matches and offers them to Willow.
She lights them—
—and then they're not lit anymore and she's looking at him expectantly.
"Okay, yeah, I only remember you lighting the herbs. That seems… like a 'no' to the magical resistance."
