"Of course, of course. Here, we were playing spin the bottle. D'you want some punch?" he asks, one hand going behind Sadde's back to start leading her somewhere.

"Prrrobably not?"

"...should we go after them?"

"Yeah," he says, frowning. "No way is he actually being nice."

He leads Sadde outside to where a table with a couple of punch bowls are and some people are playing spin-the-bottle on the ground.

And then out of nowhere two guys appear with a bucket of something and drop it on Sadde's head, causing quite a few heads to turn and conversations to stop.

"What the fuck?" asks Theo, rushing over to push them away from her.

They (and some other people who aren't strictly part of Brad's social circle) are laughing, but let Theo through.

Most people are looking between amused and appalled, though.

Sadde is absolutely drenched in something that tastes of—

"Cherry," she says, after licking her lips, and grinning.

Well, Theo's glad that Sadde doesn't seem to be traumatized or anything, but he's just gonna be busy being angry here for her. "Seriously, Brad, what the fuck."

"Aw come on, Ivers, just jokes, all in good fun," Brad says, a bit uncertainly. This doesn't seem to be having the desired effect. But then again, messing with Sadde never does.

"You still pretty sure you're gay?" she walks over to Theo to ask. "I taste like cherry now."

He bites his lip, still frustrated with Brad, but decides to leave it to instead respond to Sadde. "Yeah, sorry," he says a bit shortly, but not short with her, if that makes any sense.

"Awww."

Brad is starting to grow increasingly frustrated, but—

—everyone's looking, and not at all approvingly. He stalks off.

"Are you– Do you–" he starts, then seems to fail to generate words properly, frowning in general at… the state of things.

"What?"

He continues to frown a bit, but shrugs kinda unsurely.

"Bit annoying that I'll get all sticky later, though. Hmm..."

He rolls his eyes, but shrugs, still unsure. "Perhaps you should get cleaned up or something?"

"Yeah, and I think I'll use my comparative advantage for that. Be right back!"

He blinks, then says, "Oh, right, yeah."

"It sure is handy," she says as Sadde goes.

"Yeah," he says, still frowning a bit.

"...you shouldn't worry. Sadde's been dealing with this for years, she's used to this kind of thing. She doesn't really mind it that much."

"Yeah," he says, still frowning a bit. "I guess."
