"Yep. Going to war gets old when you're like, on the fourth war? Let me have some variety in my life, please!"

"I could see that." Pause. "You'll be a good teacher, if you're like your holocron."

Revan smiles a bit. "My holocron's pretty accurate, I was careful about getting it right."

"Yeah."

Snuggle.

Snuggle!

"But! You've met us both, am I like my holocron?"

"Yeah. He's very recognizably you."

"That was the impression I got from him when I had my long, long philosophical conversation right after I made him. ... I'll probably go talk to him again, actually."

"Why I am I not surprised you had a philosophy conversation with your own holocron."

"Well if I suddenly made a person, it's kind of important that I know and make sure that the new person I made would be happy in the place that I put them. He actually vehemently argued against being a person, it was. Uh. It was odd."

"I can imagine it being disconcerting."

"I wouldn't really call it disconcerting, we got along fine and came to a solution we were both happy with, but - yeah. Bit weird."

"I wonder if the Masters will want me to make a holocron now," she muses.

"Maybe, maybe not. But the important question is do you want to make a holocron?"

"It's not something I ever really considered before? I dunno. What was it like for you?"

"Making it, or deciding to?"

"Both, I guess."

"Making it was straightforward, ish. Looked it up, figured out how to build the fanciest version, did that. There was meditating and shoving my personality at a holocron and everything, very standard Jedi. If you're worried about that and want to make a holocron I'll help you out, it's tricky and I thought that the instructions for it were woefully insufficient.

"Now, deciding to was... I mean I think I was in a very different position. Because my Jedi Council had proven to be okay with the concept of erasing me because it was convenient for them. And I was going to leave, and basically let them - keep doing whatever they want. So I wanted to... try and show newer Jedi the potential flaws in the system and try to prevent it. The beauty of holocrons is that they do more than just teach. If I made one, it would have my specific point of view, preserved. In a form they couldn't censor or change. So - holocron."

"Now I kinda wish I'd made one before we left. People went after the Emperor before but they came back- different. Not themselves."

"Ah. Yeah. Also, he - really needed to die."

Nod. "Yeah."

Hug.

Such hug.

The remainder of the journey to Tython is uneventful. Revan is there when Ana needs him, and there when the pilot needs him, but - he needs a bit, too. He can't access the holonet from hyperspace, so he can't see how all of the people he cared about died, but he does take extra time to meditate. Which is code for 'sit and think about all of his dead friends.' Because augh.

And then the realspace reversion chime sounds and they're at Tython.

Oh boy. Here we go. Ana gets on the comm to explain who they are.

"Should I mention you or do you want to be a surprise?"

"Uh. Mention me, it'll probably be fine. The pilot, too, I imagine they'll have a system for taking care of her?"
