"And - I don't know how to explain it, she's being very weird. This doesn't feel like stalling, actually, she wants an answer. She even feels weird, do you sense it too? Sort of. Not like an ordinary Sith."

Ana wrinkles her nose. "I don't like it. So, what, we give her an answer then?"

"Maybe. Hm." He considers. Then he walks up and offers Callida a hand to shake. "Let's try this again. Hello, Lord Callida. Sorry about the rude invasion of your hangar and ship, we're in a bit of a rush. Why won't you lend us your ship?"

She ignores the offered hand.

"Hello, he of no apparent name. Quite all right about the invasion, you'd be surprised how many people don't think I need privacy or personal space. I'm more annoyed about the cereal and implied inability to protect my crew from you if you decide you would like to try murder. And I will not lend you my ship because all you've done is threaten me after walking into what's arguably my home, and helping you involves a moderate amount of personal risk and also a high chance of philosophical preaching while I'm ferrying you. I'd rather not."

... Revan can't help it. He laughs, a little.

Ana would like to go home now, please. She's maybe subconsciously broadcasting this a little bit.

"Sorry," offers Revan, to Ana.

"Okay, well, are you willing to come to some kind of compromise, here?"

Head tilt.

"I could tell you to go steal another Sith's ship," offers Callida. "But of course, since you've already decided that clearly I am a mastermind who's been manipulating you this whole time, that's not very trustworthy, is it."

"I haven't decided anything about you, besides that you're super weird. But no, not very trustworthy."

"What would be an acceptable compromise that doesn't involve you flying away on my ship?"

"Buy us tickets on the next flight out of here."

"You and what registration, I'm a Sith, not a miracle worker."

"Oh good, that shitty Imperial bureaucracy ties your hands too. At least it's a fair system."

"Sith ships," points out Callida, "don't need to deal with the bureaucracy. Thus why I recommended stealing another Sith's ship."

"... How about pay us to go away?"

Callida raises her eyebrows. "Pay you to go away. What, is this a shakedown for credits?"

"No, it's a shakedown for a damn way out of this hellhole. Whatever. Credits, another Sith ship, I don't care. I want to leave, now."

"Dock AY-U8 has a Sith ship in it whose pilot despises the Sith she works for. You'd find it easy to talk her into getting you out of here, if you gave her asylum with the Republic. Is that enough for you?"

"Yes. Let's go."

Revan studies Callida, looking for a lie present in her statement. Apparently finding none, he nods. "Yeah. Let's."

Out of the ship, exit the docking bay, down the hall, into the lift. Ana does not have a breakdown because they're still in public, but she's shaking a bit.

Revan takes her hand.

Squeeze.

Here's the docking bay. "How about you take point on this one," she murmurs.

"Yep."

Inside they go!

There is no Sith present this time. Nor guards. Instead there is a shaky pilot who levels a blaster at them the minute they step on board.

Despite this, it's surprisingly straightforward for Revan to talk her down. He mentions the Republic, mentions giving the poor pilot an escape route with the Republic, and - that's really all he needs to say before she breaks down into relieved sobs. Soon enough she's warming up the hyperdrive and talking on the comm about a sudden change in plans for Lord Terros, you know how Sith are, and then they're leaving the planet.

It appears Lord Callida wasn't lying to them.

Oh, good.

Ana is just going to- go somewhere quiet and have a bit of a lie-down.
