"Not saying you didn't. But you're still - capable and powerful and brave and strong. Okay?"

Sniff.

"Okay."

"And the most capable and brave and powerful people still feel a little lost sometimes. It's okay."

"At least I'm in good company. Even if it sucks."

"Yep. It definitely does suck," he agrees. "Sorry."

"Um." Hug. "I should probably ask you if you're okay...?"

"Eh. I'm stable. If I'm honest I'm compartmentalizing like nobody's business. I'll handle everything - reasonably okay when I sit down and actually handle it, at least I think, but so far I haven't had the chance to unpack my head." Pause. "You've helped, actually."

"Oh. Really?"

"I like helping."

"I do better when I'm around people I care about," says Revan, who knows this from experience.

"What're you going to do, when we get back?"

"Immediately, or long term?"

"Let's start with immediately. Maybe you'll give me an idea."

"Immediately, I will get a place to stay near-ish the Jedi temple, make sure my basic needs are provided for, make sure my immediate allies are okay, and then curl up and sleep for a week."

"Mmm. Yeah. That sounds nice."

"Long term, ah." Revan shrugs a bit. "The way I see it, I tried two things to defeat the Sith Empire. One of them was going to handle it myself, be the heroic jedi-like person, and the other was making a holocron to teach the next generation. And which one of those worked?"

Blush.

"So... you're going to be a teacher?"

"It's a vague thought more than a plan, but uh. Yes, if I can. Besides, I could use some time off, teaching should be relaxing, right?"

"That's not what my teachers said."

"Yes, but the question you should be asking is not 'Is this relaxing for normal people,' but 'Is this more relaxing than literally anything else Revan has done,' which is a likely yes! Because I have not lived a boring life."
