She ducks as the enemy fires on them, drawing her own bow. "Those aren't Shadow Carja - they're Oseram!" she snarls.

"Half an answer about why the battlefield was doctored."

Now - to fight back.

Yeah it's also got a gun. Maybe she can knock the gun off and use that, somewhere in all the dodging?

Two birds, one oblong metal-spewing stone. As it were. Let's do it.

It takes another of her tear arrows - and it's heavy as fuck.

But it's an energy canon, apparently, and if she can bring it to bear, it packs a hell of a punch. 

'If". Pfah. Who do you think she is? Wait, don't answer that. She's Aloy, and there's no one better.

The ravager quickly falls to its own weapon! 

After that - she has enough ammo to clean up the weaker machines around, and even the guys shooting at them (assuming she doesn't mind killing them outright). 

It's now or later, and it's a lot easier now.

She and Eres can take them down without too much more trouble. 

Another Aloy victory! Time to sweep the battlefield.

Definitely Oseram opponents. 

"How did they get the machines here?"

"Not sure. They didn't seem corrupted... Some kind of lure, somehow?"

"There's not a lot of people who'd be able to make something like that - especially who'd be willing to set this whole mess up in the first place."

"Then that should narrow down our search. Let me do a scan." She activates her Focus and looks around with it.

There's some highly suspicious blood stains and traces of armor plus weapons that look like the ones Eres wields, associated with a weird damage pattern to the soil and rock. There's also a large rock a bit distant from those, with traces of blood and hair. 

"Seems like there might have been an actual fight here."

"But why move everyone down into the valley - ?"

"A distraction? Something still hidden here?"

"Let's look around more."
