Nothing, though the cellar door is tightly locked.

"Don't suppose he gave you a copy of his key before he left?"

"No."

"Too bad."

They'll have to do this the hard way, then. And by the hard way she means shoving the pallet of illegal gold bars off the loft to crash into the trap door to break it open.

She snorts at that, somewhat despite herself. "Flashy."

"More contained than a grenade would have been!" Aloy chirps.

Smile. "I didn't say I disapprove."

"Good!"

Let's see what he was hiding down there.

It doesn't look like much at first - though there's a map with locations marked and a battered journal, and as she's scanning things with her Focus...

She finds a data point with a message from the Eclipse to Olin, threatening his family and demanding he cooperate with them.

"I've got something," she tells Eres. "Seems like his family is hostage and Eclipse, that's the attackers, were using them for his cooperation."

"Fuck."

"Show me."

"Uh, one second." Aloy fiddles a bit to set up the datapoint to autoplay, then unclips her Focus and helps Eres put it on.

She watches it, brow furrowed, then hands Aloy her Focus back. "A strange device," is all she says at first, followed after a moment by, "Fucking shit that fucking traitor."

"He didn't just do it for money?" Aloy offers.

"He's still betrayed us."

"Yeah. I guess."

"Where's he gone?"

"Not sure. Map might tell us more, or his journal."

She looks at the map. "I can't read glyphs," she admits grudgingly.

Aloy can translate them out loud for her!

An impressive skill.

She learned from the Focus. It can read things out loud to her.

"Handy."

"In a lot of ways. The people from the old world were pretty clever."

"You've put it to good use, too, sounds like."
