Augh what are those!!

'Ice-breathing flying assholes,' approximately. 

"Shoot their chests!" Eres shouts at her. "Fire arrows if you've got them! And don't get hit!" She's already taking her own shots - and she's both damn good and apparently entirely fearless. 

Right. Okay. She can do that.

And maybe, if there's time in between all the ducking and dodging, she can get a scan in with her Focus.

There's a big frost sac on their chest that is indeed full of chillwater and vulnerable to fire, plus a few vulnerable points on their wings... The chillwater sac might also explode if she hits its cover just right with a tear arrow. 

Tear arrows are harder to make... On the other hand, there are several of these flapping monstrosities, so if she can catch a couple in the blast that would make things easier for them. Also it might impress Eres.

Aloy gets out a tear arrow and takes careful aim before letting fly.

She takes it down in a fierce explosion! Which takes out two of its neighbors - they're still kicking, but they're frozen over and vulnerable. Leaves only one still flying, and it's already injured. 

"Nice!" She takes a moment to shoot one of the downed ones so it won't get back up. 

Hehehe.

Aloy will focus on the one still in the air.

She can get it the rest of the way down pretty quickly! 

Nice!

"You fight very well."

"I've been training my whole life. And it's fun!"

"You should join the Hunter's Lodge, then. Show them what's what."

"Hunters' Lodge... Oh! The people who have the training grounds thingies. I visited one of those."

"They're more than just that."

"I guess I'll have to do more investigation."

"They're a bit surprised the thought of outsiders and women who can kick their asses. I'm sure you'll be quite the education for them - and Talanah could use someone else to help hold down the old coots while she wails on them."

"Ha. Might be fun!"

"For you two at least."

"That's what counts!"

"Definitely."

But first, Aloy wants to scavenge these glinthawk corpses.

There's a few intact resources she can get off them. 

"Was this the place those cart tracks were leading to?" Eres asks. 

"Let me take a look around..."

They have to go a bit farther until they reach the end of the tracks, up into the ruins of an enormous metal arena - where Aloy spots movement on the roofs. Looks like people, ones currently pointing weapons at Aloy and Eres.
