"Go for another Bite, Lillipup!"

The Lillipup's second bite hits hard.

Chirp chirp! She's still on her feet, but that clearly hurt.

Well, he doesn't have any other ideas, so...

"Double Slap again! Keep going until it's down!"

A single hit is enough! The Lillipup falls unconscious.

"Good work so far, but can you keep it up?"

He throws his second Pokéball, and a red ?monkey? with some sort of swirly tuft on its head pops out.

The monkey thing is clearly a lot more agile than the Lillipup was. "Pansear, use Incinerate!"

The monkey launches a jet of fire towards Amadelphous.

Where did the fire come from??

Well. Amadelphous is decidedly not looking great, but it's not like he has any other strategies, so...

"Amadelphous, use Double Slap!"

She lands three hits. The first two are pretty average, but the third hits the Pansear in a weak point, and it chatters indignantly at her.

Technically he could heal his Pansear but he doesn't even think he needs to, that Audino is looking pretty injured and his Pansear can take a couple more hits.

"Pansear, use Incinerate again!"

The Pansear releases another spray of fire.

Amadelphous totters on her feet, then falls unconscious.

"Good try, kid. Better luck next time."

He shoves some money at Chili, scoops up Amadelphous in his arms, and runs away.

Interacting with another human sounds like just about the Worst Thing right now, but he owes it to her to get her healed.

He runs to the Pokémon Center, still carrying her in his arms.

The nurse looks vaguely confused.

"...Does she have a ball...?"

Right. That makes sense. Whatever fancy medical technology they're using probably can't fit a whole Audino. He takes out her ball, summons her back inside, and hands it to the nurse.

Well, yes, but honestly she's also worried about why he thought it was a good idea to physically carry an Audino around?? They're not particularly light! Whatever. She's not getting paid to criticize his life choices.

She hands it back to him a few seconds later.

He takes it and runs back out of the Pokémon Center.

(He is vaguely aware that this is the sort of thing that gets the adults in your life to make concerned noises about how maybe you aren't ready to be a prosecutor yet, Sebastian, are you sure you don't want to wait a few years but the alternative is staying here and talking about what happened and that sounds worse.)

Striaton City is right where he left it. It's mid-afternoon by now.

He finds an alleyway and lets Amadelphous back out of her ball.
