The Valar announce that they've done as much as they can in Singularity (they can't bring back peoples' babies in that critical period either, but they can get them earlier versions) and are setting up portals between there and Sanity as soon as they are confident they've cleaned up the plague. A bunch of Elf architects have this wild idea for a fivedimensional city where alternating intersections are interdimensional portals between various Valinors and they get eagerly to setting it up.
"Yeah I don't think they could have kids - Kate and Archibald could, or Raymond and Abby -"
"Cool! Write me when you have everything set up, and then we'll check your work and I'll bring them over. Theodore might want to come while they're getting acclimated."
"We'd love to have him. Would this be on a volunteer basis or should we plan on enrolling him as a guest ranger?"
"Okay, great, I can go run off a copy of - or, uh, just make 'Jurassic Park Guest Ranger onboarding form'."
"Should we just leave a circle open for you, or... will you email us, or what -?"
"Emailing'll work better because I have a lot of specific summons open for me and I wouldn't want to drag Kate and Archibald around to one that's the wrong one. If we arrange it then you can tell me exactly when to expect a summons and I can be pretty sure I'm getting you."
He writes home.
Theodore needs some help filling out the form, so he helps him with that. They send it in.
The design is revised accordingly. Uh they were going to get an angel to do the retrofit but Minor would be faster...
He grabs Kate and Archibald and gets dismissed. They are very confused by this, and nip him irritably.
"Woodchip or something? I like making stuff, I want Kate and Archibald to have a nice enclosure, demons are like at least half hard to pay because taking summons is risky in the first place."
