The Valar announce that they've done as much as they can in Singularity (they can't bring back peoples' babies in that critical period either, but they can get them earlier versions) and are setting up portals between there and Sanity as soon as they are confident they've cleaned up the plague. A bunch of Elf architects have this wild idea for a fivedimensional city where alternating intersections are interdimensional portals between various Valinors and they get eagerly to setting it up.
"That also seems likely to involve them shooting random people in a panic, or that's what you said last time I was there. They can always fall back on the shooting innocent people in a panic thing, see."
"There's a better chance they won't shoot anyone if they don't know who to shoot."
"If I go there not just unbound but not on a summons, walk from Hell into Milliways and then out - would they be able to see that -"
"They'd at least not see anything they're used to seeing. You're really gonna feel the circles, though, in that quantity it's worse than I'd previously anticipated, I'm not sure how long I would've held out even if I hadn't been trying to get a friendly circle."
Shiver. "I can go unbound and tell them as soon as I arrive that my summoner is in another dimension."
"And then say that I'm turning myself in to answer the charges against me, obviously."
"I want to prove them wrong with their whole world watching. But I can't do it if I can't make things and I can't talk."
"The trials are not very popular viewing. I guess you could attract more."
"Oh, I have a plan for that part. My streams attract twenty million people sometimes now."
"Fair enough. They may just tell you that if you're turning yourself in you should take one of their circles though."
" - actually you know what I think you should say? I think you should say that you object on principle to gags but you'll take their circles if they put out ones without gags. - you'd have to check they weren't just doing the gag part in light or in invisible ink or something, but -"
"Ooooh. Bet they say no, they don't seem very - flexible and they are weirdly committed to suppressing this."
"Give them time to check that your summoner's in fact irretrievable and in a different dimension, give them additional time to inform whoever they'd ordinarily inform that there's an unbound demon out and about - you'll need a fairy so they can't just drag you off into deep space - make sure everyone knows what is going on -
- and then do a publicity tour. Show up places, give people stuff. I expect after a while they'll decide they'd rather have an ungagged demon stuck on Ganymede than a totally loose one wandering the streets of London making people presents and complaining about the infringement of his free speech."
"Your fairy's summoner will also have to be irretrievably in another dimension. You will want a plan to handle riots. I am not at all sure this is a good idea."
"Then suggest a way to make them stop torturing people into showing up for show trials at which they'll have had the judge pre-rule against letting the defendants call daeva witnesses or talk about major facets of reality!!"
"Accumulate enough credibility that people will take the don't-leave-your-realm summons from an immortal person just to make the Ganymede circles leave them alone?"
"How long is that going to take and how many people are they going to hurt in the meantime."
