The Valar announce that they've done as much as they can in Singularity (they can't bring back peoples' babies in that critical period either, but they can get them earlier versions) and are setting up portals between there and Sanity as soon as they are confident they've cleaned up the plague. A bunch of Elf architects have this wild idea for a fivedimensional city where alternating intersections are interdimensional portals between various Valinors and they get eagerly to setting it up.
The representative checks their (lack of) bindings. "I've never actually seen a daeva not on summon," he remarks. "I suppose that would be obvious."
"We haven't visited the daeva realms either. There were a few thrill-seekers who were tempted and promised they'd cover the resurrection, we said absolutely not."
"Daeva won't assume people they see in their home realms are fragile, they could easily kill someone by accident and would probably find that upsetting, there could be outcomes worse than death that we'd then have to divert resources to handling..."
"Hm. Is it safe to get closer to them? They're not bound, I don't know how to look for other restrictions on their behavior."
"Around here their magic doesn't work. There -" indicating the boundary - "is the deceleration zone for if a fairy decided to fling something at us from where magic does work."
"I'm afraid I don't have enough physics to know if that lets me within speaking distance to talk to the fairy."
"Within shouting distance, but he'd have to come over if he wants to talk."
"Less likely if you call him 'it', his name is Jake."
"Are demons able to point to their preferred pronouns on a list or something?"
He calls out to Jake and Trelane that they'd love to speak with them if possible.
"Well, I can still read fanfic here, so it's better than Ganymede. What do you want?"
"We have an observer from Ganymede who I think was interested in talking with people here, though maybe they're not allowed to talk to demons, I neglected to ask."
"That's not really how it works," says the GCP observer. "They're usually prevented from talking with us, but we're allowed to talk to them."
"Okay, so, what's your deal?" Trelane asks.
"Did you name yourself after the protagonist from -"
"Yes, you didn't come here to ask me that, did you?"
"No. Can you tell me about the arrest and incarceration process you experienced here?"
"This aura-of-what-the-fuck lady showed up and was like 'I'm arresting you' and I was like 'uh' and she was like 'yep' and she brought me here and I can make stuff over there but not here. She read the Pegasus Cycle when I gave it to her but still doesn't get that the third book neeeeeeeds to be released, fuck the publishing holdups, so I don't really think she's all there and I don't wanna try taking her summon. I can make stuff so I can still write my friends, this is better than you chuckleheads by a long shot even if they don't know what they're doing."
