And one of the laws in our kingdom is that if someone is convicted of a crime and serves their sentence then you don't get to raise it with them. You can of course still not want to interact with them on that basis, but you can't not hire them and you can't bring it up. I think it's good for everybody, that that's the law. It means there's a point where you can say - enough, I did a wrong thing but it should not be held against me for all eternity. I guess if people were virtuous enough that point could be 'the instant it is established they won't do it again, by any means including external magic', but that's not - psychologically realistic - I think it is fair to ask people that there be a point at which it's like it didn't happen, I don't think it ought to be instantly...
