9S is under the impression that the locals are not exactly the most upstanding of galactic citizens. Still, she tries to make most of the crashes and explosions happen in the midst of the invading army.

She's able to finesse that, more or less! And set off some very impressive fireballs!

...One of which sends out the expected debris, but also someone big, blue, and surprisingly not dead plummeting to the ground. 

He lands on his feet, a hammer with a head the size of 9S's torso in his hand. He doesn't look particularly the worst for wear for having been on an exploding ship.

Instead, he looks somewhat intense, almost angry, and definitely way too close for comfort as he straightens up and begins to stalk towards them. 

Well shit.

How's that running away looking?

There's a much clearer path back to the ship than there had been, and 9S and 2B could maybe just dodge through it. And Ronan's currently stalking, not running or charging. Still, his determined stalk is about as fast as a human's panicked run. 

Which means that if they start running he'll start running and likely catch up-

A distraction is required.

"Go," she says to the others, and steps into Ronan's path, sword drawn.

Fuck fuck fuck. 

"...Fuck it," she says, quietly. 

And then she's stepping up beside 2B - and spreading her hands, golden light bursting into her palms and racing like lightning along her skin. She thrusts her hands towards Ronan - and that lightning fills the space between them with a scream that shakes the entire station. 

And then she moves one of her glowing hands in a circle, and a glowing portal opens under 9S, Ash, Rocket, and Chewie, depositing them unceremoniously on the ship. 

- And then Ronan charges, his skin badly charred by the lightning, but not yet dead, and he'll be on them in a moment - 

Gamora makes a sharp gesture, and 2B is knocked through the portal right before it snaps closed, as her ability to hold a portal open inside the head of a Celestial fails her.

She teleports out of the way of Ronan's first swing (she nearly passes out; she won't be able to pull off a second portal in here). Gets off a blast at his exposed back. 

And then he swings his hammer at the ground - and she's flying, but not fast enough, her left leg trailing her right, and the reverberations echo up her leg, shattering bone. 

And then she's fully airborne, and arcing her way towards the ship - weaving through or blasting the missiles being fired at her - as her vision goes a little wonky.

Well, she can try to help catch the flying woman in the airlock??

Only needs to get close. 2B will catch her.

She half collapses once she's to safety. 

Well, relative safety. 

"Get out of here."

No need to tell Ash twice. They're gone.

She relaxes a little once they're out of the Celestial's head - and tucks some of her magical power back under her skin once she no longer has it shielding her. 

...She still has a broken leg, though. 

Medi... cal... kit? Is that what's needed?

Carrying her to somewhere she can lay down - somewhere quiet. And also some food and water. And yeah a medical kit; she can try to fix this with magic but it's iffy and slow. 

But, more importantly: they need to figure out their next step. Fast. Might need to involve getting her to someone who can fix her shattered bones faster.

Right. She can do the first part of that.

Chewie can provide a rather exceptionally well stocked medical kit! Honestly pretty much a stashed medical supply room. Though pointing out the kitchen will have to be Ash's job. 

The ship's not that big, they can find it.

Good; healing is going to make her hungry. 

She'll see what she can do.

She can get her leg stabilized more or less quickly - though she has to improvise a little given Chewie's gear is meant for cats or prisoners. Still, that's good on the 'keep it from bleeding out' front. 

And: they really, really need to talk about their next move. As a group. 

Yeah? How about booking it for the other end of the galaxy as fast as possible?

"Don't think it'll work. Ronan will have the Reality Stone. And - there's someone worse who wants the Infinity Stones. And who might have picked up on that - display."

"Well, then I guess we're just fucked."

"Or we fight back."

"And how exactly do you propose we do that?"
