No need. A faint yellowish circle envelops each half of the containment orb and manipulates them into scooping up the stone and then snapping shut. 2B then plucks it out of the air.

"Nice trick," she says. "Now let's go."

Yes, 2B is also perfectly capable of running. Faster than Rocket is, in fact, though she will not demonstrate this because there are other members of the group to consider.

If she's strong enough to run and carry the slower members, that's what they should do.

And the two cats are significantly faster than Ash or Gamora; they aren't the ones holding up the group. 

If Ash doesn't mind...

She most certainly fucking does, but she minds dying more, so.

Then 2B will take Gamora.

Not an arrangement she objects to.

And Chewie and Rocket will each pick one of 9S or 2B to jump on the shoulder of.  

And then, they run.

Their basic pace is as fast as anyone else's sprint, and they have no trouble at all flowing around and through obstacles at that speed. If anything, they get faster when something needs to be dodged.

Most impressive. 

Though not impressive enough to get them to safety before the streets are filling with Ronan's armored, anonymous soldiers - mostly mercenaries, supplemented by an elite core of fanatics. Soldiers they're going to have to go through. 

Hm. She will need both hands for this.

Gamora takes out her knives as 2B sets her down. 

And Chewie jumps to the ground, a low growl building in their chest. 

Rocket just stands on 9S's shoulder and opens fire from where she is. 

And 2B starts clearing a path.

Do these ships perhaps have electronic control systems linked to active sensors? If yes, 9S has some bad news for these ships.

She can definitely cause so much bad news! Of course, exactly how much depends on how much damage she feels like causing to random bystanders.
