It's an extremely cold December afternoon, and the girl with an eyepatch is very grateful for the warmth of Starbucks. What she's not very grateful for is the huge queue. Why is there a huge queue?
"Yes. Unless you lived your whole life with fair folk, there is likely more to it than the supernatural. One hopes."
"I'm a normal boy. Have friends, date people, go to school, want to take over the world..."
"Yes, I got distracted and didn't hear that last item. But everything else on the list sounded normal so I am not going to ask clarifying questions."
He giggles. "I go to Law school because I want to get into politics and try to effect some change. Or, well, that was the plan, before—" He taps his eyepatch.
"No, but it fits the aesthetic. Now we just need to combine the concept of a death ray with faeries and be good to go."
"Other than that I like long walks anywhere, talking to people and getting to know them, reading books on physics, behavioural economics, psychology, maths, stuff like that, sometimes jogging, and pulling pranks."
Peter kisses back. "So, uh, if you don't mind asking. What are your feelings on exclusivity?"
"I have vaguely positive feelings the opposite way, but they're only very vague."
"Really? That is good. Because I know plenty of fair folk that would get so disappointed if I got in a more serious relationship. Not that I would brag or anything."
