::...that would be...good, I think.  As long as it doesn't mess up his sightlines.::

"Eh," ::We can build him another tower if he wants one.:: She drops the water bag at the door of the garage - she doesn't seem to have trouble with the weight, even though that much water is very heavy, but it's bulky enough to interfere with her movement - and starts on a circuit around the grounds, pointing out different features of the nearby terrain and explaining how convenient or inconvenient various spots will be to attach to the existing infrastructure. She seems not to want Diana's house in front of her own, as evidenced by the fact that she skips discussing that whole quadrant, but there's a decent variety of options regardless, or at least nothing that Diana would obviously be missing out on by avoiding building there.

::...I am absolutely horrible at open-ended decisions.  Let's see if "part of me wants to put in a basement, too" narrows this down any...::

Any of the places she's seen would allow for a basement, but there are three loose areas where it'd be easiest to put one - one just past the goat pen, another nearby but somewhat farther from the house and on a slight rise, and the third off on a diagonal from the house, past the garage, where Pradnakt pointed out that the scrub blooms prettily after it rains.

She'd like the one with the pretty scrub, then.

::Sure.:: They can head over to take a closer look, then, and make some decisions about layout.

::You'll be close enough not to need a garage or garden anything, you can just use ours, but you can have them if you want, or any other outbuildings.::

Permalink

::I'll think about that, for sure.  Not sure what I'd really want to add, but there is probably going to be something worth having.  ...Probably a forge, actually.::

Permalink

::Sounds like fun.::

Permalink

::It does.  I like making things, you know?::

Permalink

::That's always good. Are there any supplies we should be getting you?::

Permalink

::I really don't know; I haven't had much time to explore it.::

Permalink

::If you have at least a little bit of an idea of what you want to do - and it can be vague, just saying what you want it to be like is fine - Daisy can research it and come up with something, she's good with that.::

Permalink

::I tended to put on a knifemaking show for light entertainment; considering that I do plan to make kyber crystals and they're clearly involved with...:: She gestures to the blade-hilt on Pradnakt's belt, demonstratively, ::perhaps a workshop that would suit?::

Permalink

::That's more electronics than forging, but you can have a workshop with both, I've seen it done.::

Permalink

::Yeah, that sounds rightish.  I've always been drawn to the places where software, hardware, and the world itself meet, anyway.::

Permalink

::Neat.::

Permalink

She's quiet for a little while.

::So, you do art?::

Permalink

"Mmhmm." ::Mostly sculpture - we sell most of the small stuff back in town, I think it ends up in the city eventually, but there's around twenty art trails around here with the bigger stuff, mine and Nine's, and some single pieces here and there too.::

Permalink

::...wow, that's a lot.  I might like to see it sometime.  I bet it's pretty.  I know Daisy certainly is.::

Permalink

::Thanks. There's a story there, I'd want to see how she feels about you hearing it first though.::

Permalink

::Obviously.  It seems the kind of thing that's personal, like with a lot of other examples of body art I've seen.::

Permalink

::Yeah. Though in this case it's as much my story as hers, too. I'll let her know I don't mind you hearing it, if you want to ask her about it directly.::

Permalink

::I see.  ...I have to admit, I really am curious what your story is, beyond tactically withdrawing from your enemies to this desert for a while until I dropped in.::

Permalink

"Mm," she acknowledges. ::Remember how I said using the dark side of the Force can cause emotional instability? Back when I was an apprentice, my master tried to kill me - I never did find out why - and it didn't work but I spent a year pretty badly injured before I found an opening to kill him, and I had to use the Dark side to do it, and - I mean, I got out, I don't regret it, but I was in a pretty bad state. Daisy was with me - she'd been assigned to look after me when I was hurt, and I brought her along when I left - and it was one thing when I was snapping and killing people who annoyed me - not great, but really they should know better with any Sith - but something else when I started hurting her, she didn't deserve that. We talked it through; her options for leaving weren't great, but I told her I'd support her in it however I could if she wanted to, but she didn't want to, and instead we came here to give me the space to sort myself out. Which took a while, but it did work eventually.::

That really must have sucked, and Diana's empathic communication is deeply transmitting her assessment of that.

::Given how much I've dreamed about just going on and blasting several of the villains out of their tastefully-appointed skyscrapers, or shaking good sense into my nominal bosses...I really can't blame you for that.  ...Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I ran across a Red Lantern.::
