It sounds actually like it was very well-advised if it's been thousands of years. 

She actually isn't shaking. Tense, yes, but not shaking, not yet. She's still in action mode and it is in fact helping a great deal to have something to do. She'll hold her bracingly. And thank her, again.

It is an absolutely enormous mess, yes, and she has no idea how to navigate it yet but she'll work it out. The important thing is that the - Sith? - is gone. Is - sorry, what's your name? - is she all right? 

Ah.  Yes.  Yes, she's alright.  Her title is Darth Mourne, but after this you are certainly allowed to call her Ophelia in private.

"...There is one thing we should probably do before we handle the politics.

Padmé is not currently making a connection between 'Darth' and the details of the ancient enemy religion the Jedi suspect to have returned that she's heard of second-hand. She and Anakin don't discuss the war very much, they get enough of that every single day of their lives. And she is possibly not at her sharpest right now.

...Padmé really, really does not want any other Force-sensitive poking around in her head after all that. 

Obviously that isn't a sensible reason to refuse at all and she'll do whatever is necessary without complaining. But if it doesn't make a difference either way - it feels strange that there's no point in keeping this secret and more - is there any chance Anakin could do it instead?

"This is not going to let me see anything of your mind at all.  Just pull out the bits and pieces of his."

"Ah.  Uh.  No.  Firstly because, I'm sorry, but that man would not know what finesse was if it hit him on the head with a brick, and this requires a gentle touch, and secondly because he's in the Halls recovering from.  Well.  Palpatine had been grooming him to Fall to the Dark Side and I accidentally blew open his repression of that while we were sparring.  So he's currently out of commission and, apparently, probably getting the first good sleep he's had for a while."

"Oh stars - is he going to be all right? I -"

...If she's like Sidious it's not as if she needs permission, is it. 

She grits her teeth. It still hurts. "I'm going to the Temple to see him. Can you do it as we go along."

"Yes.  Yes he will be, because I am going to make it so if I have to, it was my mistake and I will fix it, and yes, I can do it on the way."

She produces a small, white, triangular holocron, once they're settled, and settles her hand an inch or so away from Padmé's forehead.

Both of these glow softly.

There is a feeling of harmony in the world for a while, and some ominous-feeling stuff is drawn away, without, as far as Padmé can tell, touching her.

She captures it in the holocron, which...  bleeds, for a moment, before she can stabilize it - and, with a grimace, starts to review it all.

He didn't leave very much behind. She kept him quite occupied! Just his general aura of fear and misery -

 - and fragments of his memories about the Essence Transfer ritual, from when she was desperately trying to wrench out of him what the fuck was happening -

He'd derived the basic form himself, thank you, long before he got anywhere near the Jedi, obviously, but he's only able to do neat little tricks like leaving his original body mostly unscathed instead of disintegrated, and leaving the other spirit intact while he puppets its body, and hopping from host to host instead of being cast into Chaos if he loses the contest of wills, from the Holocron of Darth Andeddu. Hilariously, the Jedi are responsible for him getting it. If they'd been less paranoid and told him what it was their pathetic obvious spy could have destroyed it. He spent a while practising with clones on Korriban and Byss and Tython and Nar Shadaa and Lehon and Jakku and Raxus Prime.  

...Right. Write down those planets, pass to A1-C3, add 'Dromund Kaas?', 'Coruscant basement?', because surely he would not actually have let all the locations he left clones at, leak out thusly...

...She'll meditate for additional targets soon, she thinks, but not right now - because they've arrived.

So, they can sense the future and use the Force properly again.

Under the circumstances they are yanking all Jedi from the front lines effective immediately, yes even if they lose the war. 

He steps smartly into the room as they arrive. "Senator Amidala." He sensed it, but some part of him is still astonished to find her alive. "Please come to the Halls of Healing. Your handmaids are waiting. Mourne - situation report?"

"Palpatine quit the field before I could actually kill him, I don't know where he went.  We have several locations he remembered practicing Essence Transfer at that I have added a couple more to on suspicion that he sure liked using historically important planets and that that can't be all of his black sites.  Haven't had time to meditate on that one properly yet.  We're running some traffic analysis to see if there's anything that picks up."

"That's a pity. Good work anyway." He is going to escort the Senator to the Halls, in fact. If Skywalker ever somehow wakes up there's going to be trouble. 

"Traffic analysis? Hmm. He's clearly not limited to his own clones, but they might be most convenient for him, and there aren't very many sources of high-quality long-lived combat-capable clones in the galaxy - we have a Jedi stationed on Kamino who's investigating. We've also pulled all Jedi off the front lines immediately. We're not sure if that still loses the Republic the war with Palpatine out of action."

"Some of those places aren't places just anyone would know how to reach, these days, though I have of course been keeping careful note of them anyway.  If he reused anything in the going we can trace that, and we can probably also trace the shipping manifests if he didn't use smugglers.

"He doesn't seem to have killed everyone involved in his plans just because they were there, yet."

"Which reminds me that if we have any backchannels to the CIS government..."

"...Some channels exist, but we don't have one to Dooku, right now."

"Good thought. We do have some possible access routes for those places and it may not be impossible to trace him."

He feels an abstract sort of pain, for a Jedi Master who fell so, so far; now that the darkness is gone, it's much easier to see it in himself and let it go.

"Not specifically but we should definitely ask-and-or-warn him about the whole 'Palpatine having a dozen cloning facilities for Specifically Himself'.  Isn't Raxus in CIS space?"
