<We are adopting Maurice. He is our new brother.>

The mothers stare at her. 

"What?" says Mary. 

"Um, I already have parents, Morri."

<I said brother not son.>

"Oh, that makes more sense."

"Excuse me, what's this all about?" asks Mary sternly.

<Maurice is our new brother,> she repeats.

"You aren't explaining yourselves!"

<We are the Morrígan and Levi. We come from another world. Maurice is now our brother.>

Siobhan frowns. "And why have you decided our son is your brother?"

<It is self-evident.>

"Not from our point of view!"

Mental impression of a shrug.

"I don't mind being your brother. Wanna come explore?"

He starts running towards the greenery. 

"Maurice, wait!"

She follows him.

So does Levi! He leaves a trail of water behind him.

"It's really pretty, isn't it?"

<You would find it so.>

"I do find it so!" 

And suddenly a tiger is bursting out from the trees! On its back is a small, naked, glowing child. 

"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

<I am the Morrígan, and these are my brothers Maurice and Levi. We are admiring the greenery.>

Maurice is scrambling backwards from the tiger and puffing on his inhaler.

"...Does nobody else worry about sunscreen?"

"What? And what's that thing you're holding?"

<That is an inhaler. He needs it because of his lung condition. You have a friend who can help him.>
