"And if they said you should choose between Anakin and being a Jedi?"

"Then I would leave the Order. But they can't make me stop being a Jedi."

"You'd keep to your own judgment about what it means, then?"

"Every Jedi should, I think."

"Then you're unlike most Jedi I've met or heard of."

"Your perspective is probably a little distorted."

She snorts.

"A little."

"That doesn't mean it's entirely false, though."

Hum. "The Jedi Code is an ideal. Not everyone can reach their ideals."

"Are you reaching your ideals?"

"I'm trying."

"What are your ideals?"

"I want- to be a person who always knows where I am going, and how to get there."

"Where are you going?"

"To see Anakin grow up safe, right now."

Smile. "We're going the same way, then."

"Yeah."

Smile. 

"Give her to me," she says then, holding her arms out for her daughter. 

Elesse passes Anakin over carefully.

"Hello, beautiful," she murmurs, cradling Anakin.

She's pretty content to sit here and interact with her baby for a good while (definitely until after Salacis is done with testing her bedroom).

Elesse will take the opportunity to see to some of her own needs, like a shower, then settle down with a book from Lyli's library.

(Salacis does finish testing her bedroom eventually.)

She reaches out in the Force when her apprentice feels both finished and recovered.
