Red Arrow's not wrong about that one.

Miss Martian's comments draws a softer amusement from her.  "There are some rather potent human telepaths in existence, I'm given to understand, but you're certainly right that we don't have that capability by default.  And human telepaths can't usually shapeshift, either."

As for Wally...

"You will be as fast as the current Flash, or faster, in due time." she murmurs quietly, directing the words to his ears alone as best she can.  They're not for the others.  They're for him, specificially.  "You deserve to know that you're still quite literally growing into your connection to the Speed Force at the moment."

And who knows what adding White into the mix could do, considering that Superboy was healed of, essentially, species dysphoria, but they don't want to offer false hope.

...Anyway.  One last thing before they hit the field: Danger senses.  The prophetic one, and the ~sharper one that's specialized in 'what attention am I drawing', please.  Merged together.  She's pretty sure they ought to fit.

Kid Flash blinks, and then blurs in his chair for a moment. Wildcard may notice a folded note in their pocket at some later point.

You know about the source of our speed? We should talk later, after the mission.

Yes, it can make that fit! Just barely — she's ... pretty much full up at this point unless she can figure out another clever way of shuffling things around.

There isn't anything she could do at present without fully rebuilding the purple, and that's not a good idea right now.

Bialya is, indeed, gone. It's fairly easy to see where it used to be — the land on either side of the discontinuity doesn't quite line up, as though a giant child had reached out and pinched together a rent in the clay of the world.

There's not much else to observe, in the arid scrubland where Miss Martian sets the bioship down.

"I can't sense anyone nearby," she reports.

As if a giant child had done it indeed.

"Well, that's not good.  Kind of expected it, but it's not good.  Let me give it a go..."

...They must be terrified, in there.  To have been plucked out of the world, like one of Brainiac's city-jars...  Her heart goes out to the people of Bialya, even as her grip firms on her staff.  They should know that they are not alone.  That people are trying to find them, to bring them back home.

What would she say to them, if she could?  If her message could be sent, dozens or hundreds or even thousands of sparks of indigo shining as they thread their way through the fabric of the universe, as they find where they are needed most in seeking those places of fear?

"This is a message, for the people of Bialya.  I do not yet know if this message will reach you.  But I hope that it does.  That you will know that you have not been left behind by the outside world.  The Justice League is here, and already hard at work, seeking to unravel whatever it is that has isolated you from the rest of the world.  We will find a way to bring you back.  And if this message has worked, we are already one step closer."

The sparks drift toward the boundary, fuzzing and twinkling. They vanish, but whether they are vanishing from or into remains unclear.

Kid Flash blurs away, doing his planned check of the entire perimeter.

And if those sparks are hers, and she wants to know where they have gone?

You wouldn't download an emotion

If she stretches out her senses, focusing through her empowered equipment ...

They've gone right there, at right angles to reality.

"...Right.  Okay.  I have some data."

"Bialya's been - shunted off at right angles to, well, reality, it feels like.  If the Indigo went like it should have, which, it should have, but obviously I can't be sure of that until this is actually done.

"Now to figure out how - and how it can safely be undone.  And quickly; I don't know if they're exposed to the Bleed in there but best not risk it.  The Witch Boy would be fine, so we can't assume he wouldn't have just left raw multiversal chaos running amok.  We can probably assume he might, even."

...But speaking of the Blind Eternities...

Or more relevantly the Twisting Nether, she wants to take a closer look at this.

(Yes, she's Alicia Thorn, so it's not like she's not looking at this already, but the lens is useful here.)

The approach she can bring to the table is useful.  Because all Arcane magic involves the process of reaching into the Twisting Nether and bringing the change you desire forth from it.  And while whatever this is may have nothing to do with the Bleed...

Turning herself at right angles and pulling something in is fundamentals.

...Scaling those fundamentals up to the size of an entire country is not fundamentals.  But she thinks it could be done.

She's not sure she can do it alone.

Well.  She isn't alone.  And there are actual external resources she can tap, as well.

"...I have some ideas."

"Wildcard to Base, do we have ETA on actual magic support?  I've figured out what happened, I think, but I'd much rather a professional handle it, if one's ready.  Over."

Yes of course she has a spare field communicator, she's had it this whole time, why wouldn't she have comms.

"At least an hour, Wildcard — Zatara is busy fighting some kind of shadow beast that's trying to infect the collective unconscious, so we're waiting on battle mages from Atlantis, but transit to the surface is difficult."

"...Anyone that might, in the future, be working out of the Tower of Fate is probably not available at the present moment but if you could check that would be great.  And I'm assuming Zatara's apprentice isn't doing this sort of thing yet, either, not that I'd want to put this on their shoulders either.  In the meantime, I'll see if I can work something out."

Or if she's conveniently managed to set up a stable time loop.  Since Booster Gold exists and the future Alicia Thorn will have had much more practice.

(This is incredibly unlikely!  But nonetheless not impossible.)

...This is going to have to be a group project, if they're doing it alone.  Lantern!Diana, establishing the connection and possibly shaping the ~ritual circle.  Ophelia Vaudelle, leaning on the Fatebinder's history to amplify the force of their will.  And Alicia Thorn, actually contributing theright angles.

She's pretty sure they can't muster up enough Orange over Bialya to do it that way, or else she would have tried.

Though, on the other hand...  Size matters not.

She could try.

...Risky.  Likely to go red, which is just Not a good idea.

"...I should gather more information on the present state of Bialya.  To know whether the hour or the uncertainty of my own capabilities is the worse risk.  ...Alright.  I can do that."
