"It has a monetary economy and a lot of kinds of magic plus the subtle arts. It has gods that are worse than either set of Valar and lots of different sapient species and even more political units all of which fight a lot. It and all the planes it normally contacts punish experimentation and science and progress has to be made without but for rich people in developed countries the standard of living is pretty okay."

"Yikes. What's the best approach to fixing it?"

"Invent a spell to summon people out of it and evacuate. Carefully. The magic takes pretty well to science once they can be combined so you'd have some powerful folks on your hands."

"If you got everybody? Yes. There's gods and god-tier things. If you skipped them it would take a while but I can't promise they wouldn't get there."

He frowns. "Okay. The only worlds you know of are these ones and the anti-science ones?"

"And the one we came through on our way in where stuff tried to kill us."

"Any guesses as to how many there are?"

"No clue. More, I imagine."

"Maybe we'll start contact with ones that don't have Melkors, then. Assuming there are others that require improvement."

"Didn't stay long enough to see if the world we came through had one of those."

"So distance scrying should be a priority, sounds like."
