"I arrived without most of my possessions so I can't consult my letters for any such details, and would expect them to be divergent anyway from the knockon effects of Deskari attacking Kenabres, which didn't happen in my timeline.

"It is possible to close the Worldwound. Again, I do not know how this happened; but I am piecing together what I can out of the known ingredients."

He nods. "I presume the mechanism by which you arrived is not easily repeatable?"

"I was not conscious for it or else have forgotten the matter. I am a very strange choice of person to bring across for most conceivable aims. I have not been able to reconstruct anything actionable from fragments of dubious visions and circumstantial evidence."

Regill has additional questions along those lines about how they can best make use of this phenomenon to close the Worldwound, but will eventually recommend to the Knight-Commander that he take a sleep shift before they have to march back to meet up with the army.

Yup, he doesn't need wizard amounts but as long as wizard amounts are being had he'll take a sleep.

The wizards wake up in early afternoon and have their spells prepared an hour later. 

"I have excellent news! I was able to hang a single Phantasmal Killer spell today. I suspect that with extended study I will be able to hang more than a single fourth-circle spell, as is typical of wizards who have attained that circle."

Woljif is pretty sure he could hang a third-circle spell if he had any written down but until they can get back to camp he's settling for sticking some extra Web spells in those slots. "Where'd you even find the chance to put that in your spellbook, weren't you second circle when we met you?"

"I do not recall."

"What is the highest-circle spell in your book?" Blai asks Nenio.

"Let me see." She looks through it. "How strange! I appear to have recorded Permanent Image at sixth circle. Purchasing sixth-circle spells is ordinarily quite difficult, even in Absalom."

"Do your notes say anything about it?"

"Locating such information in my notes could be quite difficult, butterfly boy." She flips through some of them anyway, coming up empty-handed.

"How are you planning to ultimately disentangle all this into an encyclopedia?" Blai wonders, getting his armor back on.

"It will likely consist of several volumes, and I will have more time with which to organize my notes."

"Fair enough."

Everybody ready to hustle back to the main force?

"I've only got so many spell slots, you know."

"Of course, but my delicate angelic constitution is unused to such hard labor."

"That can't possibly be the best argument you could think of."

"If Valor is up to the weight, I expect he'd still be faster than those of us on foot if you rode double with Ser Seelah."
