—yeah no that seems like a thing that has to be dealt with now and not later—he leaves Coventina with her worm, who she will hopefully be able to bleed to death now without further help, and heads for Sky as fast as he can go while still maintaining the ability to use his sword when he gets there.

The final bog worm flails at him with two of its larger tentacles, but its kind of in the middle of something here and only actually succeeds in fending Laurent off at all because he is still level zero.

The mud oozes over Sky's face, smothering her.

Coventina is managing to wrestle her bog worm on even terms, it being weak and woozy making it an even match. She manages to get a leg-lock around its ovipositor and in its delirium that's enough for it to forget about egging her and go back to weakly fucking her with the pink tentacles.

She decides that's good enough and turns to get off another, "Vital Rush!" at the final worm, but the wounds Laurent has managed to inflict aren't big enough for that to be fast enough, Sky will heal from oxygen deprivation but not from lungs physically full of mud and also drowning is utterly fucking awful even if you survive it so...

C'mon Laurent, you can do it...

He should focus first on hitting the big purple tentacles since without those it loses some leverage and he might be able to pull Sky out of the mud—and if that doesn't do it, he can try slicing the egg tube directly, which might refocus its attention on him and give Sky a chance to save herself—but will she be able to move? He should try to account for that—

Okay. He arrives. He uses his free hand to grab whichever available bit of Sky has the best available leverage and try to pull her face out of the mud as a preliminary measure. Then he gets both hands on his sword and slices into the nearest purple tentacle with as much force as his body can muster, which is not enough force and he should be using Coventina's milk to cheat at fitness training, and the rest of that thought can be saved for later because right now he is doing violence.

The best point of leverage is probably Sky's hair. Her legs would be easier to grab, sticking up as they are, but the bog worm already has hold of those. Sky only seems half aware as she spits enough mud out to resume breathing, lost in the sensation of the egg being forced into her, but at least she's not going to drown.

The worm manages to land a hard blow on Laurent while he's busy with Sky's head, and he doesn't manage to get close enough to cut at the ovipositor, but with every wound bleeding like a water jet thanks to Coventina, it only takes another half-dozen slashes before it falls dead, its weight driving its egg-tube even deeper into Sky, deep enough that she'd probably be injured if not for Coventina's milk.

The field is quiet, finally.

...right. Okay.

He looks back at Coventina. Is she all right? Did she manage to take out her worm?

Almost regardless of the answer to that question, the next thing to do is probably get Sky detached from that worm corpse, so he's already starting to put his sword away and lean down to grab her.

Coventina struggles free of her worm's corpse, and jogs over to help. All three of them are a mess, and Sky is going to be paralyzed for the rest of the day. She was already exhausted of mana and now she'd got an egg in her too.

"Okay, hold on, I'm gonna try something."

She's supposed to be the fucking goddess of water. She should not need a skill point for this, she should be able to just brute-force it...

Pure, clean water erupts from the air in front of her hand, blooming out as it is created and then pouring down to the earth. It's not going to make the ground any less muddy but it should at least rinse the worst of the blood, slime, and mud from the rest of them.

"Oh, thank you, that's very helpful."

He looks down at Sky with a wry smile.

"Well, looks like I'm carrying another party member home today. —is our hotel room a reasonable place to take her? Even if I knew where she lived, I don't think it would be safe to leave her alone there..."

"Sky, do you want us to take you back to our room and do lewd things to you while you're helpless to stop us?"

Squeak.

Nod nod.

"Works for me!" he says cheerfully, hoisting her up onto his back.

Once they arrive at the room, she holds Sky while Laurent fills the bath, then strips the smaller girl (feeling her up thoroughly in the process) and sets her in the bath with Laurent while she struggles out of her regalia and then, buck naked, walks downstairs to avail them of the laundry service.

Just because she has a second set of clothes doesn't mean she'd rather get them dirty or wait until after they bathe.

Well. First order of business: get himself and Sky clean without anyone drowning. Should be fairly simple.

Coventina is back promptly to help. She joins them in the bath and together she and Laurent can get Sky cleaned up easily. It's much less of a task than Coventina herself was. He... doesn't think he wants to fuck her, actually, although it's still good to know that if he did it wouldn't be a problem. He thinks he wants to try mapping her out like he did with Coventina last night. It seems like a nice way to show her a good time without getting into anything that disturbs his privacy intuitions.

Sky is easier to map out, given how she is slightly less paralyzed, but also harder, given how she's deep in subspace and much, much easier to render unable to pay attention to him.

He might get a little carried away and forget to pay attention to the time. Probably Coventina will be willing to interrupt eventually. Hopefully she won't fall asleep in the bath and drown. Meanwhile, Laurent is going to be giving Sky a really absurd number and variety of orgasms.

They're briefly interrupted by the return of the laundry. Coventina emerges from the bath to answer the door and thank the maid who brought their things.
