"We should.  Do you know when it was first printed?"

«Not sure. Twenty teens?»

"...We should definitely keep an eye out for it, but I'm not sure how much we should hope for it to show up.

"I guess I could see if somebody thought I needed a copy."

She scans through her system for a few minutes.

"Well, I have a seed drill, at least.  But it's built modern, so it's unlikely the blueprint will be directly replicable by anybody who hasn't already invented one, without further effort."

«Can probably teach someone to make a simplified version if looking at modern one? Maybe?»

"We can hope.  ...And if we end up somewhere modern enough, that hasn't had a Second Dark Age, we could look at...  I don't know, old patents?  Old science publications?  ...I wonder, actually, if the Company or the Opposition could just get us your phone's data back."

Neo is a bit surprised by that idea for a moment.

«Didn't think of that. They might have it. Don't know if Company would, but Opposition might. Worth a try.»

Weird Company scroll out, app open, and she types a message.

Hey Opposition-san, do you have access to the data from our old phone? Could you download that onto our Company Smart Device?

Yes, that should be relatively simple, as your phone was indeed copied alongside your body. One moment, please.

There is another momentary glitch-effect, and then there is a new Device Emulator icon.

Neo grins and giggles voicelessly.

Thanks a bunch!

Then she opens the device emulator, flips to the ebook reader, and opens up The Knowledge, before handing the phone to Momo, still grinning.

You are welcome.

"...Well would you look at that.  The Knowledge."

Neo nods cheerfully. «Easy way to pick out stuff to teach.»

"Yeah."

After a moment, Neo tilts her head thoughtfully. «What now? Wind down cuddles? More training? Different prep questions?»

"Well.  Cuddling seems like it could be combined with thinking about anything else we should be preparing for, and we've both had opportunities to keep in practice...

"...Can Spider-people benefit from strength training?  Speaking of preparation."

Neo nods, smirking. «Strength has a floor, but can grow. Want to watch your maybe-girlfriends pumping iron?»

"Well, yes, actually..."

"But before that can happen I do actually need to know what class of weights I should be making for you."

She tilts her head thoughtfully, considering this for a bit.

«Tons, roughly. Vague hunch single digits or very low doubles.»

"Well, then.  Kiyuko-rated training weights.  Complicated, and probably a project for tomorrow because of their density and complexity, but doable."

«Fun,» she replies with a grin.

Then a thought occurs to her. «Does your world have any system for quickly describing the threat a villain poses? Not their Quirk, specifically, but how it and their skills combine to make them a threat?»

"Not particularly, no.  Honestly, the prevailing system for describing Quirks on their own is horrible.  'Emitter' is more than half of all Quirks, a Quirk that gives you accurate knowledge of local time simply doesn't fit into the schema but nobody who has enough institutional backing to fix that seems to have bothered to care yet, Nedzu has a system but it's optimized for his own purposes and otherwise frustratingly opaque...  Kiyuko was working on reverse-engineering it, last I recall."

«Worm, the story Taylor's from, has their government use a twelve category system, with numbers in categories to indicate how much of a threat, from one being barely super at all, to ten-plus being "oh shit, you need special teams from out of state." Will type categories.»

And then she gets out the smart device and opens the notepad.

Parahuman Response Team, Threat Assessment Categories

  • Mover: Moves self. Speedsters, fliers, teleporters, etc.
  • Shaker: Affects area, changes environment. Todoroki, for one. Midnight, for another. Kyoka, for a third.
  • Brute: Tougher or stronger. Kiyuko, All Might.
  • Breaker: Shifts into altered, usually physics-breaking state. Phase though objects, dissolve into mist, etc. Often has subrating of what this state does.
  • Master: Minions and mind control, whether projections, animals, people, or other.
  • Tinker: Makes advanced tech. Think Mei, even though she has no Quirk-backed knowledge.
  • Blaster: Fires ranged attack. Think lasers, but also marksman with very big gun.
  • Thinker: Information-gathering abilities. Can range from psychics to pre- and post-cogs to people who can read the next moves in a fight.
  • Striker: Touch-range abilities. Shigaraki, Ochako.
  • Changer: Changes into other forms, such as animals or other people. Himiko.
  • Trump: Interacts with powers, whether own or others.
  • Stranger: Hides in some fashion, whether disguise, shapeshifting, invisibility, or mental command not to notice. Himiko, Tooru.

Hybrid (linked) ratings noted with slash, subratings (dependant/derived) noted in parentheses.

«Maybe go through some of your class for examples?»

"...This isn't bad, but I'm not sure it's as good as it could be.  Doesn't include healers at all, for example.  And I'd classify power nullifiers as a specific sort of threat, not just as generic Trumps.  Meta-quirks beyond All for One and One for All do exist, you know?"

"I'd also probably want to separate, say, the rating for Quirks like Shinsou's, from the rating for Koji Koda - his Quirk doesn't work on humans, and even if it did it wouldn't help him much.  The tactical situation is different when you're expecting a swarm of rats with capture tape, compared to 'your own teammates turned against you'."

"...Is this supposed to be a rhyme?  Because Thinker and Tinker are way too similar-sounding to have been good choices for, for example, radio communication of uncertain clarity!"

Neo smiles as Momo starts tinkering with it.

«Rhyme intentional, for memory. Had a friend who wanted to improve it, but we got taken before she finished.»
