"What do they think of druids?"

"Some hunters work with druids, but they would never work with emissaries."

"Do you have any explanations for why hunters- hunt?"

"The fear people had, of werewolves at the edge of their communities wanting to abduct their children in the night, eat their sick and weak - it's based in reality. Werewolves historically were seen as hostile forces that could invade at any time, and hunters aimed to minimize the damage."

"Scott's mentioned a 'beast within' or something along those lines."

"Werewolves struggle with control, yes. The werewolf- and the werecoyote, and the werejaguar, the werehyena, the kitsune- can be understood as having a human part and another part- not quite an animal, but something animalistic, something aggressive and sexual, something motivated by basic needs but with the mental resources of a human brain."

"I see."

"Were you looking for something to do? There are spell ingredients to organize."

"I can help with that."

What sorts of things are used in spells?

Flowers, roots, bones, lichens, crystals, fruits, seeds...

An eclectic assortment. Everything into its place.

And he would appreciate some help with moving these boxes, if that's relatively easy?

Of course. What's inside?

Swords, knives, and brushes.

"Why do you have swords?"

"Just in case."

"Of what?"

"In case someone tries to kill me here, in case I need to suddenly leave town, in case my house is destroyed."

"Fair enough, I suppose."

Around noon, he suggests he go out and get something for them to eat.

Does she have any preferences?

Not for food, but a coffee would be good.

He retrieves coffee.

"Do you need water? What exactly are your needs?"

"I don't have needs in the human sense. Indestructibility protects against hunger and thirst and lack of sleep. I can feel a degree of each, but it does not become debilitating."

"That sounds helpful. Just how indestructible are you? I suppose you haven't dealt with the supernatural before, but were you safe from everything you were familiar with?"

"They tried dropping a nuclear bomb on a rogue angel once. The angel survived."
