Down in the forest, there is a tree.
What's left of one, anyway.
The Nemeton calls another supernatural creature to its town.
The blood that drips onto it forms a circle.
There's some sort of scuffle, moving from the parking lot to inside the building.
The attacker has fanged mouths, opening and closing across his body, within what seems to otherwise be normal human skin.
Macabre seems to be some sort of theme tonight. Ellie is of the opinion that Many-Mouths should stop chasing the other boy. As a fairy, she is well-equipped to make this opinion reality.
Come back and float in the air over here, Mouths.
He had actually stopped running after she picked up Many-Mouths, and has mostly been gawking.
"He's a criminal, he blames my dad for his dad's injury, please don't hurt me."
"And what does that have to do with all the," she waves a hand vaguely, "mouths?"
"I have no idea why all the mouths! Are you some kind of, what, fairy?"
Many-Mouths doesn't seem pleased with this turn of events.
He starts trying to thrash in place.
Well, he can thrash if he wants to. He's not going to get anywhere with it.
"I'm not anyone's godmother, so far as I know."
"No...no, I can still do it!"
Many-Mouths begins to shriek, apparently horrified by something behind her.
"Some might say it is the fairy thing," she says, turning to see what has Mouthy so scared.
They move from point to point suddenly, jarringly.
The air around them blurs and shifts.
They walk towards her and her captives.
No, they will in fact stop walking right there.
"And who are you supposed to be?"
"I'll tell you whatever you want as soon as we get away from those things!"
Was she very attached to both of her hostages?
She only has one, now.
The figures take their leave.
"Thanks for rescuing me with mysterious telekinetic powers. Uh, what did you do with him?"
