Down in the forest, there is a tree.
What's left of one, anyway.
The Nemeton calls another supernatural creature to its town.
The blood that drips onto it forms a circle.
They end up waiting for Lydia to remove all of her jewelry and her belt, before they can go any further.
Scott explains why they've come.
"The doctor will be here to walk you down. I don't know why you want to see him, but it's your funeral."
He returns to his book.
Unlikely to be her funeral, and she can probably do something if it looks likely to become anyone else's.
The doctor is there shortly.
"Mr. McCall, Ms. Martin. I suppose I should have expected you back. Are you here to see Mr. Hale?"
"Of course. Follow me, and try not to look at the prisoners. Or the patients."
He takes them down a stairwell deeper in the building, and down a long, stark corridor.
There are a few gasps and cries as they pass, and hands pressing up against the glass, or through the bars.
They can see most of the prisoners, and the prisoners can see them.
Some smile, with teeth too sharp and too numerous to be a human's mouth. Others shriek, and beg to be set free.
"These are our prisoners. The patients are kept on the upper floors."
He brings them to the end of the hall.
There's a large glass chamber, containing a man sitting quietly, facing away from them.
"I'll leave you to it, then."
"What a pleasure, Alpha McCall. I'm glad to see you brought the very best of your pack. The wailing woman, the human, and whoever this is."
"Well done. The Dread Doctors are the ones behind these creatures. They're also trying to get into Eichen House right now. Try not to let them in."
