"Oh, shit, sorry. What were my options again?"

"Beelzebub, Annapurna, Chicōmecōātl, Acte, Sekhmet, and Tajimamori."

Katie checks if there's any info on them on the witch internet that isn't on the muggle internet.

Beelzebub is: a demon. Remarks about him are consistent with him being a demon.

Annapurna's the Hindu goddess (or goddess-aspect) of food. Chicōmecōātl is an Aztec goddess of (also) food, especially corn; haters complain about the child sacrifice. Acte is one of the Horae, Greek personifications of the hours of the day; hers is the ninth hour, for "eating and pleasure". Sekhmet is an Egyptian solar deity also associated with cats, medicine, and war. Tajimamori is a Japanese god of sweets.

Hm. Doesn't seem to be anything here she couldn't find on the muggle internet. She thinks for a moment. "Acte." She thinks she'd prefer a more general pleasure deity over one of sweets specifically, and being female helps too.

"Okay. So you are a Neutral Academic with the Neutral type perk and questing from Acte; you took Crutch, Hunted, Black Swan, Eye Catcher, Witch Mark, Requirement, Kryptonite, and All Natural for your complications; you have one rank each in portals and aethernautics; three each in alchemy consortation and psionics; four each in curses and witchery; and five each in runes and divination. Your wild magics are Oracle, Prestidigitation, Suggestion, and Fascinate. - Did you forget about the option to buy ranks in the Hespatian magic, Occultism? It came up but we did not examine it much."

She copies all that down. "Oh, shit. Yeah, let's go over that now."

"Also known as the shadow arts, involves the elemental plane of shadow which might be smart and if you do rituals is definitely watching you. I will be over the requirements for the rituals first, then what they actually do.

"At rank one, you need privacy from anyone who is not ritualing with you - they don't need the ranks if you are leading the ritual - and either nakedness or total beekeeper suit amounts of coverage, and darkness - one candle allowed, no more. Two minutes to perform. At rank two, same but you need at least one partner - rank one you can do alone if you want - and an animal to sacrifice - even a mouse is fine at this rank. Rank three, your choice of ritually shtupping at least one of your ritual partners, or sacrificing a bigger animal, like a goat or a dog. Rank four, again a bigger sacrifice, two big critters like horses or cows, or one person, or have an orgy with at least three of your partners while there's at least six total people in the ritual. Rank five, you need a willing virgin and then you have to boink them after they are dead, and you need at least six more ritualists with you. It is okay to resurrect your sacrifices after, which makes it easier to find the willing ones.

"And for what these can do - in all cases the ritual leader decides who in the ritual gets the goodies. At rank one you can do a luck blessing, a sleep blessing, a lucky-at-specifically-pulling-hotties blessing, or do a Spiderman-ish thing. These last a day except the sleep one, you must capitalize on that within a couple hours. Rank two, bit of a divination, fate whispers in your ear for five minutes; silence for a day - can still speak but will not make footsteps or be audible coughing - or, for a week, a muse blessing, insight and motivation on your creativity. Rank three, make an object shed darkness indefinitely, or have darkvision in grayscale for a month, or a month of good fortune in business finance markets etcetera. Rank four, open a rift to the shadow realm. All the living things have spooky counterparts there. Once you go once you can go again forever like there is a window to it in mirrors that are shadowed, including puddles and such, and anyone you drag with you who has not done this ritual is stuck. Also, separate someone from their shadow, it can move on its own and fight and hide in other shadows or slightly possess people. I do not know how hard it is to tell your shadow to do things or how it decides. Rank five! Shadowbinding. Follow the sacrifice's soul to Limbo. Gates to all the afterlives are there. You get a magic scythe and you can mow down souls there, the scythe has room for 666. It will shlorp into your body and make you shadow colored once you come out of limbo, and while it is turned on the souls boost you - speed and strength and magic and stamina. You can give someone else the scythe or split up the souls into several parcels. Souls leak out, about three of them a day, and go a-wandering, but you can go refill your scythe any time."

"I'm guessing this one is Warlock-aligned?"

"Yes, but also Soul affinity so you get a discount."

"Hmmm. How many ranks can I get by dropping all but my free rank in Potions?"

"Three Occultism ranks, a point left over."

"And that point is saved towards future growth, right, not lost?"

"Yes."

"Hmmm, actually, what if I just do two ranks in Occultism? The darkness one doesn't seem that useful, and I already have divination for abusing the stock market."

"Then you can have two also in Alchemy and one left over."

"Let's go with that then." She copies it down.

"Any other things to re-visit?"

"Hmmm. I'm kind of having second thoughts about if Black Swan is a good idea."

"You'd have to replace it or un-spend three points, but up to you if you want your life that exciting."
