"Thanks."

He starts forward, considering the cave. It feels less - overwhelming, now.

Occlus follows him in, alert for signs the cave is more than it appears.

It is, alas, exactly what it appears: a cave in a swamp, with secret history to reveal. No visions are revealed to them, either, with Occlus exerting her power. Beyond the cave is an open area, flattish and relatively dry. There's a brown patch in the middle.

"This is where the Dark Jedi died."

He nods, slowly, stepping around it.

There's - something here, he thinks, and Artoo's sensors agree with his hunch.

In the back, maybe - still ahead of him, possibly buried here in the mud and moss...

Half buried, beneath a tangle of plants, is a- comlink, of some kind.

He pulls it out, turning it over in his hands.

"What do you have there?"

"Looks like a comlink, maybe? It's - weird, though, I don't recognize the make." He shows it to her.

"Hm. Nor I."

Artoo beeps. Apparently, he saw Lando with something similar to the comlink once.

"Who is Lando?" Occlus asks.

"General Lando Calrissian. He's an old friend from the Rebellion days. He's decided to be an honest businessman, lately, so he should be easily findable."

"Only lately he has decided to be an honest businessman?"

He smiles. "The last few years, pretty much."

"Now that the galaxy is safe for it again."

"He's a bit of a scoundrel, still, but one pretty firmly on our side."

"This seems the only lead we will come up with here. Do you know he is currently conducting his legitimate business?"

"Yeah - he's in the Nkllon system. He got this idea for mining a planet that'd be otherwise too close to its sun..."

"The adventure continues."

"I guess so."

"Don't think there's anything else here for us - on to Nkllon?"

"Yes, let us put this swamp behind us."

He takes them that way, then.

It's a longer flight - he has questions, on the way, about her work, and how she's been settling in, and if she's liking her staff.

Occlus is still willing to speak in great depth of her work even to people who are not Ani. She is less concerned about the staff, taking note of individual personalities only when they especially help or hinder in some aspect.

Does she want to recruit more staff? That's the type of thing he can probably handle, if she'd rather not.

Later, perhaps. When her systems are more fully in place. She trusts those there now to continue for her brief absences, but not to teach others.

That makes sense; it's pretty much the same reason Ani hasn't expanded who she's teaching.

Robust systemic continuity can be a hard problem. Their New Republic will also have to face it at some point.

Yeah; they have more to start with, though, rather than building something from scratch.
