"Being turned on?" Kiss. "I don't know, maybe, but we just finished, usually you chill out after a few minutes. Or at least I do." 

"I mean," he says, "right now touching you and seeing you naked is very interesting and I want to do more of it, and normally it would never occur to me to want to look at a woman with her clothes off. Or touch her other than holding hands or putting an arm around her shoulder or something."

"You're very cute." She reaches up to play with his hair. 

Mm, that is nice. See, as long as Raine keeps doing things like this he's very skeptical that he won't get turned on again. 

His feet kick Raine's dress at the edge of the bed, and then it occurs to him that Raine's dress is almost as interesting as Raine is. He grabs it from the base of the bed and then looks at it, unsure what the next thing to do is.

"You can try wearing it. I don't think it'll fit, though." 

"...you can do that?"

"...I mean it'll be too small, so in that sense no, but it's fabric, anyone who wants to can wear fabric shaped like a dress." 

"I'm not a girl," he says. He's started petting Raine's dress.

"I didn't think I was either. And even if I were a boy, boys should get to wear fabric shaped however they want the fabric to be shaped, the fabric doesn't care." 

"I don't-- want to wear it for real-- I just-- want someone to kiss me while I'm wearing a skirt. I think."

Maybe that's true or maybe it isn't but arguing about it won't help. 

"That's fair," Raine says instead, and kisses him. 

Mm Raine is kissing him and he keeps thinking about wearing a dress while Raine is kissing him and being pretty and smooth and soft like a girl, and then this wanders off into thoughts about how Raine said she could also use her mouth, and about being inside Raine's vagina if she had one, and the fascinating possibility of doing all of these while wearing a skirt at the same time, and whoops he is turned on now actually. 

Mmm. Perhaps Raine should demonstrate using her mouth. 

This is an excellent plan. Lee supports it so much. And then afterward he is VERY boneless and flopped and happy and unable to think about much of anything.

Lee is so soft and warm and cute and good. 

"Your bed is colors now," Raine says, once she has enough brain and isn't being distracted by the horrors of human reproduction. 

"Oh! It is," he says. "I wonder if having sex did that."

"Probably, given the timing." 

"...That's a weird set of things that make things turn colors. Sex and short stories."

"I'd say there's an obvious common thread, which is strong feelings people don't usually have in Pleasantville, but sex didn't make Anthony turn colors -- on the other hand he might have just felt less strongly about it, though." 

"You had sex with Anthony?"

"I am kind of a slutty person and always have been." 

"I don't know what 'slutty' means."

He has vague and confused feelings about this!

"It means.... basically the same thing as calling a girl loose? It means I have sex with lots of people. Sometimes," she pokes Lee in the nose, "there are a lot of feelings involved with that, and sometimes, like with Anthony, there aren't." 

"No," he says, "when you call a girl loose it means that she kisses and cuddles with lots of guys and tells them that he's her sunshine on a cloudy day and every moment with him is like a dream she doesn't want to wake up from and stuff. And it's bad because what if the guys think she wants to go steady with them and ask her out and then she says no and they're heartbroken."

"....okay, that's adorable. I promise I will accurately represent how much I like people so as not to break their hearts by telling them they are my sunshine when I don't mean it."
