The next day Jaeha doesn't have any dungeons scheduled, since they're taking it slow at the beginning, but what he does have is his first therapy session. Remote, naturally, because he doesn't want to run the risk of feeling tempted to mind control his therapist, that'd be wholly counterproductive.
Ren doesn't make this difficult and can fill most of the silences herself. She has converted Haru's room into a craft/guest room and shows off stuff in it till it's time for dinner.
"I hear you're an amazing cook! I want to go out to brunch tomorrow but you can help me with dinner tonight -" Here is the recipe she has in mind, it's Japanese curry.
Yay more good son-in-law points! He is totally making up for having a fucked up family situation that might make Haru's life a lot harder and worse.
Ren's natural personality is more like backlashed Haru than regular Haru, but she's comfortable and unpressured about it. The curry comes together and they can all sit down for dinner while she's telling an anecdote about a faculty meeting where most of the people present got the wrong email explaining what it was about.
That's so charming. He is so charmed. She is not as cute as Haru on account of not being Haru but she's still adorable.
If they want, they're invited to stay the night, but it's a little silly to do that when they teleported to Tokyo in the first place and didn't have to plan the visit to maximize the return on travel time.
Jaeha will follow Haru's lead here because whipped doesn't even begin to cover it.
Haru would rather sleep in their own bed. Maybe they can have an entire vacation week in Japan sometime but they were here to introduce Jaeha to Ren and that's accomplished.
It is!
"It has been lovely to meet you, Swan-san," he says, bowing again. "Thank you so much for having us."
"I'd say he's the one taking such good care of me. I feel like the luckiest man alive for that chance meeting, I've never been happier."
