It is about halfway through the third hour of the fifteenth day of Lucette's attempt to reorganize her grandfather's library. The project is moving at an acceptable pace overall, though she's starting to question the wisdom of having scheduled the whole thing down to the hour during day three (hour four).
Well, in that case Lucette would like to kiss her again before they go and discover whether there are apples for lunch.
Eventually instead of kissing, there is lunch, with an apple pie being prepared for the evening.
The next time Lucette schedules a haunting, she uncharacteristically doesn't come and slip into Annie's bed afterwards.
Annie gives her an extra fifteen minutes and then creeps just into range of her room to see if the demon is still there.
Then she hurries the rest of the way, and falls down the stairs once, and picks herself up and resumes hurrying, and knocks -
She's still alive, her heart is beating, she's breathing - "Lucette, whatever it told you it's not true - please can I come in -"
Annie can do that and Lucette can't actually prevent herself from leaning into it, but she's not going to hug back.
"The fact that I am mind controlled gives me the occasional issue and it is not your fault."
