A third of the world is covered by the howling maelstrom that was born a century ago. It is not ordinarily a place you'd find people surviving, but sometimes things appear in it. Strange things - otherworldly things - brought into the mist of a howling storm of cloudy dust and wind that blows in whichever direction it wants.
"If you ever decide you want me to carry you flying I think I have enough practice now that it'd be safe, but it's up to you."
Eefa still sort of expects it to stop one night but it hasn't so far and that's really nice and sometimes she'll even smile about it without it being an accident.
Many of the operations can proceed without power - this isn't unheard of - but Pelape agrees to go alert Dragon.
Sure, they can go out together and then do rounds after that. Knock knock, Dragon.
"Come in! Door's unlocked."
Dragon is underneath her prototype of an electric car, trying to work out some issues with the transmission.
In goes Pelape. "Hey. Saffron asked me to swing by and tell you the Elysium power's out, she said this like you have some standard arrangement with her."
"Yeah - she gets priority on repairs since she was the one who paid for the grid in the first place."
"Actually, if you're heading to Elysium now I could use some help carrying materials there."
"I was going to do market rounds next, but I can make one trip with some stuff?"
"That'd help!" Dragon can extricate herself from under the car and grab her materials, handing a toolbox to Pelape and loading up her own backpack with various pieces of equipment and replacement parts.
...Pelape doesn't know what's up with that but she can stand close to Eefa. "I'll leave these with the guards at the side entrance," she tells Dragon, and she and Eefa can leave.
"Okay..." Sometimes she's just like this and probing about it doesn't usually help. Back to Elysium they go. Pelape drops off the tools.
Dragon's still working on repairs when it's time for dinner and so Eefa would like to not go to dinner tonight.
