A third of the world is covered by the howling maelstrom that was born a century ago. It is not ordinarily a place you'd find people surviving, but sometimes things appear in it. Strange things - otherworldly things - brought into the mist of a howling storm of cloudy dust and wind that blows in whichever direction it wants.
"Don't need to."
Eefa can go and get the chair so she can access the food stash in sconce.
"...well, she's supposed to be fixing it. I don't expect this to involve coming up to our floor at all, let alone our room."
"We can leave the window open, and if she comes too close, I can pick you up and fly out the window."

Eefa has stored a truly remarkable amount of snacks in the sconce and she's going to eat them now.
Eefa gives Pelape a weird look but isn't going to offer food that Pelape isn't even asking for.
Her opinion on the matter might change if she were skipping more than one meal in a row but she doesn't super want Sconce Food, even if it's all stuff that's dry and wrapped up enough that she's willing to let Eefa eat it.
Then Pelape will indeed not learn about it.
Any sign of trouble as the evening wears on? Do the lights come up?
