Kim Hye-jin has been soloing a lot of dungeons.
It wasn't concerning at first, because it made sense as a way to take power back from the people that tried to kill her, be powerful, and at the same time give every other exhausted esper after the confluence a break.
It's now perhaps starting to get concerning.
Outwardly, though, she... seems fine? Just really work focused. Distant towards everyone, maybe.
Tae-gun was initially alarmed but now he looks pensive upon studying her face. "Something... good?"
"Mmhmm," she sniffles. "Could one of you hug me anyway, I think I might've made a friend, and relatedly I'm having feelings."
Snuuuuuggle.
"I turn out to be weak to someone making it clear I affected their life in a positive way without any weaponizing of myself at all! Which is an objectively sad sentence to say out loud, now that I've said it, this seems like it should be a topic in my upcoming therapy," she says, babbling a little.
"Hye-jin-ah, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. Even before you knew me, before you knew anything about me, after prez and Quasar had just fucked you over, you stayed because you wanted to help me. You were incredibly understanding and patient about my stuff, you didn't pressure me, you were kind and safe, I had all of the triggers in the world about someone wanting to get close to me and instead you just let me go at my own pace, and that helped more than anything. My life is one hundred percent, unambiguously better because you're in it. You took on a lot of burdens that I didn't mean to place on you, and that really sucks, and I'm sorry I didn't realise I was doing that, but I would not be here where I am without you.
