by all means don't let us keep you

Would you all like to help with some power science at some point? And likely use that time as an excuse to check compatibility, friendwise and esperwise. The way Wendy describes y'all it sounds like you're cool.

I have a bunch of personal hangups to get over but guiding absolves many sins, as it were.

I'm on an errand actually so we have like five minutes before guiding time. Sorry for suggesting interesting tests while away!

I'm the one who ultimately decided to do it and I take responsibility for my own actions. It's fine.

I love power science. Might want to put some of it on my blog if that is OK

I can't slow down objects in time. It's pause or nothing. I can move paused objects around but it feels like they have no mass and causes a bit more backlash. It seems like I have to be holding things to pause them. And I'm going to stop testing things for now.

Oh no, a blog, how terrible, how will I ever recover from this indignity. /s.

it's a very dignified para-academic blog

No, you mean Zelda.

I'm not going to be as good as an agent at finding industrial applications for time-freezing things but if you can time-freeze PEOPLE you'll make a great ambulance.

...Sounds expensive and stressful tbh.

Yeah that doesn't sound likely to be backlash efficient - it'd only work in dense areas where normal ambulances have coverage already.

Science experiments, maybe? Preserve the sample at absolute zero as it moves from some delicate piece of equipment to a different one?

On a skim I like the writing tone of the blog and will be happy to be a participant if anonymized.

Delighted to hear it.

I haven't exactly made firm plans but Wendy and I are very likely to stick closely to each other. I hear she is significantly less compatible with either of you two, but we had been discussing travelling together to different cities and it's probably safe to assume she'll be away from Toronto often. Though of course I would not presume to speak FOR her.

Also, she's probably driving back now and I will vanish from this conversation when she arrives.

We're still sorting out our location situation, I'm not necessarily attached to Toronto forever, but I've got the cat and the backlash which means I should not live alone making frequent travel awkward.

Such is life. I used to be a trucker and am kind of attached to travel, ~philosophically.

Partnering is frankly kind of socially awkward. Aside from the horror of meetups, there are so many social assumptions and the notion of depending on a specific other for reliable access to powers just makes me very unhappy. But it is reality, and griping won't change it.

It's a whole weird entangling and disentangling of a lot of things that for normal people are very differently bundled, yeah.
