"Any other obvious unusual abilities? I've got a monster cat at home and he retains the ability to navigate in 4D, that comes in handy."

"Very fast reaction times and a sense of air movement. I have not flown far because of limited space and charge, but I seem to retain that ability as well, including hovering."

I don't enjoy the prospect of becoming part of the apparatus of violence and thereby risking death, but if it is more efficient for the goals of pursuing art on balance, perhaps.

One of the lab techs asked him to be more succinct.

"There must be mountains of work to make a movie come together. Much moreso than a novel. Hmm. Worth considering. Have you read Faust?"

"No, but it's on my to-read list. I know the very loose gist."

"He seems very short-sighted to me, the namesake character. Eternal cost for temporary gain? But I do not understand his pain. Perhaps I will come to identify with him more in time. Perhaps I should read dozens of books before basing my thoughts around any particular one."

"I'm big into Shakespeare. Greatest writer in the English language. Are you reading Faust in the original German or did you get a translation?"

"It's a translation into English, as I appear to know solid English and thoroughly mediocre French, naught else. Languages too- Another thing to explore and learn! There's so much of it!" He sounds delighted. Wings rustle metallically a little bit.

"Languages are great! Cricket only has English and didn't start out literate, though he's working on it..."

"Translations no doubt carry different implications and nuance due to the cultural differences inherent in language, not to mention differing assumptions and views of the author and reader. I should learn more if I am to get closer to the original intent."

"I'm working on achieving better French fluency so I can eventually read Victor Hugo in the original, yeah."

"I'll read some Shakespeare next, I think."

"Plays or poems?"

"Poems first. Briefer."

"They are that. Is there anything you need and don't have yet?"

"Perhaps we can discuss them once I have read them, I would enjoy that. I'll need a space for the charger they are working on now, and to pay for it, and to pay for the electricity. I'll want personal electronics and other things. Those here have assured me that there is some money in interviews with them to determine the state of my knowledge and opinions and try to correlate it with the dungeon, so I will be doing that."

"That's good. I can give you my email and phone number -" He writes these down. "For when you've got personal electronics."

"I take it you are departing, then. Fare well in your ventures. I will contact you when I can."

Mori does a bird-bow and tucks the paper into his metal beak.
