"I suppose? The fact that it lets you travel to other Earth seems wildly more significant than that aspect."

"Well, I can't move in the interstitial void, so if I wanted to make a clean getaway after the murders I'd do it by moving in some direction in the alternate Earth. It's certainly not the most exciting to nonviolent people component of every power."

"I expect you'd have to get really unlikely to get a person who would use this power to do violence like that? I guess that doesn't mean it's not usable for combat."

"Right, this is about the powers, not about the people - though separately capes are a very conflict-prone population."

"Yeah, all the time, huge supervillain-backed gang problems and some roving super serial killers and a cape cult and stuff."

"Is there a timetable on that?"

"I mean, there's no projected hard stop. Just the decline of civilization. People might putter along in postapocalyptic tribes indefinitely."

"I don't have our GDP memorized but it's not obviously wildly off?"
