… Yeah.

We can meet before your class and discuss this. For now, you should get back to sleep.

Will do.

She has no more dreams that night.

So she's at school the next day and heads for the library.

And Norma's there.

"Good morning, dearie."

"Morning!" she responds. "So, what classes if-not-all am I cutting?"

"That is entirely up to you. The Hellmouth is under this school, but there might be access to it from elsewhere."

"Is there some way to get in from within the school? It could be dangerous but it might be easier to explore, like, outwards, instead of trying to find a way in from outside."

"Possibly. All knowledge of entrances to it has been lost, however."

"Ah. Okay, so… spend time looking for a secret entrance to a cave under the school?" She sighs. "I'm not sure that's going to actually produce anything useful in this short time."

"No," she agrees, "but those vampires at the graveyard came from somewhere."

"… Okay, fair. I was in the mausoleum when it came out at me, just sort of assumed it was its home."

"It may have been, but the fact remains that he came from somewhere else very quickly."

"Mm, sounds like a good place to start. … So I guess you're not coming but I could be wrong?"

"I'm coming."

"Ah, okay." Pause. "Do we need to be back for lunchtime then, or are you just missing the day…?"

"We should be back by lunchtime," she agrees.

"Okay, well, I can probably miss my classes without too much trouble."

She nods. "I'm sorry about this, dearie."

"I think I'll survive not having… Bio, French and English?"

"I'm sure you will."

"Should we go – after the bell, soonish, do we need to prep or something?"

"Before the bell might be better, so no one has an excuse to want to keep you inside."

"Oh, I was thinking – people might be in the courtyard and see me leaving."
