As they're piling back into the apartment with their purchases in hand, Isk turns away from their port.
<Messages. This droid watched. Summary?>
Atton sits across from him and drops his deck on the table, starting to unpack and select his side deck for the game.
Sharra wraps around his neck from behind and kisses his neck! "I'll get you your favourite," she says. "For extra luck."
Luxa is at the bar again! Or still. Her gamorrean guards are leaning against a wall nearby, but she's alone at the barstools, and she waves Sharra over once she spots her.
"Hey, beautiful. Have a nice time?"
She takes her lucky fruity cocktail over to Luxa. "The best time. She's such a good dancer, I could watch her for days and not get bored."
"Maybe you'll get a chance to," she smirks, leaning back against the bar to observe her, "But that's not what I meant."
"Are you sure? Because if you do know what I'm talking about, I might have a lucrative opportunity for the both of us."
She chuckles, "Well, I heard that a couple enterprising young things interfered with a little operation earlier today. Of course, it couldn't have been the two of you, after all, you were in the back rooms with the lovely Ramana at the time..."
She nods! "She is very lovely." She takes a sip of Atton's cocktail. "These two thugs sound so interesting and attractive, what could you possibly want with them?"
She hums, "If I met those two thugs... Well, I've heard they're looking to talk a certain organization out of helping out the local financial powers, but they're a little worried about a certain bounty. I might be able to offer them what they're looking for... If they promised to do a little something for me in return, that is."
"What sort of something would you need? You seem pretty well sorted and capable, especially in the heavy department," she says, gestures at her gamorreans.
She laughs, "Oh, them? They're just for show, honey. Anyway, they're a bit too... let's say, clumsy to get what I need done."
She takes a sip of her drink, thoughtful.
"Alright, let's say, there's a nice girl I know who really wants to advance in the company she works for. She's got the qualifications, the connections, the attitude... but her boss is a stingy old squid, and he just won't step aside. If someone were to convince him to look for better opportunities... Well, that girl might just be able to direct her local branch to look for different options than the ones they're taking right now."
"Ambitious. Her boss sounds awful, no wonder she wants to do something about it." She considers the other woman and hmmms. "Better opportunities off station or does she have something in mind that's more local?"
"The company's all over the galaxy! Sadly, he doesn't have many friends out there. Not the most charismatic man, this boss. Still, there might be a few opportunities somewhere or other... Or he could retire. He's getting on in years, so maybe he might like to go back home to Mon Cala, live out his twilight years among the seaweed."
"Sounds ideal! I love me an underwater city." She's never been to Mon Cala, she wonders how like it is to Aeon. "And what about the girl? Does she have grand plans for the organisation?"
"She thinks all this stalling around the reconstruction program is very short-sighted. There'll be more credits to be made if Telos gets up and running again, even if it does take a little investment in the meantime," she shakes her head, "Sadly, the current boss cares more about instant gratification than seeing an empire grow."
"That seems to be the way for a lot of people," she says, thinking of Malak. It's not the same, but... she swirls her drink and looks over to Atton. "Is she willing to accept retirement? Would he?"
"She'd be happy to see him retire! I'm not so sure he feels ready for it, though, even if it would do him good."
Bleugh. So death, is it? She looks back over to Luxa and tilts her head.
"From what you've said, they don't sound like assassins. These two thugs."
"I suppose not. Well, luckily, they don't need to kill him. Maybe he could be... convinced, of the necessity."
"Do you want to come party with us? We still have our private room booked for a while yet. Ramana will give us a private show. I'm sure she'll be excited about the outcome of Ren's game."
"Why, I'd be delighted."
She motions her gamorreans to stay where they are, and stands to follow Sharra.
