They can make out some but Sasha actually does like this movie and want to watch it. 

That's totally okay. 

Lev talks constantly. About five minutes in, he pauses it, turns on the subtitles, and continues to talk incessantly about how he really feels that Howl and Sophie's relationship was better-handled in the book. 

That's cute and also that's totally legit but the book and the movie are really just totally different genres and it's a little like comparing apples to oranges, you know? Fairy tale subversions just work differently than fairy tales. 

He totally understands that they're different genres! It's just that Howl and Sophie have this really wonderful dynamic in the book where they're both kind of assholes and a lot of it is lost in the movie.

By the end of the movie Lev is gazing adoringly at Luna like she is the most important person in the world.
