Yeah, that's chill, he can do that. He doesn't stop the stream of praise. 

Then Lev will finish and gaze adoringly at him. 

"You're so beautiful."

"Thank you." Quiet. Sincere. 

Luna sounds sincere whenever they talk; he uses the gifts Lev got him; he draws more and eats well. He cuddles with Marlo and Asher, bitches about clients and forms opinions on movies, recommends books to Lev, learns about math. 

And one day Lev asks:

"Do you want to come visit me?"

"There's people I'd have to check in with, but maybe?" 

"I was trying to figure out how much is reasonable-- uh, I think I'd pay fourteen thousand dollars for a weekend or forty thousand for a week or seventy thousand for two weeks? And I can't take more time than that off work. Obviously I'd cover your plane tickets and expenses while you're here and stuff."

On the one hand, holy fuck that is a large number. 

On the other hand, money is useless if you've been murdered. 

"...there are still people I'd have to check in with." 

"Okay. Do you want to end early so you can talk to them now, or...?"

"I can finish the show and talk to them afterwards." 

"Okay."

He's visibly nervous when he's talking to Sasha about math. His smile is tight and his hands are twitching.

On the one hand, poor Lev. On the other hand, "hello camgirl would you like to come stay with me for a week far away from all your friends and loved ones" is exactly the kind of setup that gets you murdered. He finishes the show and then calls Asher. 

"What's up? It's gotta be fast, this client likes being ignored for more important things but he's going to get bored if it takes longer than like ten minutes."

"Lev wants me to fly down to San Francisco. Fourteen thousand for a weekend or forty thousand for a week or seventy thousand for two weeks, plus plane tickets and expenses while I'm there. Do I do it or is that a one way ticket to murder central." 

"Well, you know who he is. So if he murders you Marlo can call the cops."

"You're not wrong. One week, I think? And I'll text you and Marlo a couple times a day to check in." 

"With two weeks you could basically pay off your student loans."

"Also not wrong. Two weeks it is and I'll deal with things if they come up.

You're the best and I love you." 

"That's enough money that you can afford to keep some in reserve to buy a plane ticket out if he squicks you. --Get it up front."

"Yeah. I can do that. Thank you again." 

"Do you want to keep talking, I can get this guy to lick my feet while I'm on the phone."

"I think I've got it. And I should get back to Lev anyway, love you." 

"Love you. Redistribute the billionaire's money."

He makes an attempt at laughing. "Yep. Will do." 

He hangs up and goes and finds Marlo and curls up next to him. 

"Hey." He wraps an arm around Sasha's shoulders. "What's up?" 

"Lev wants me to visit him. Seventy thousand for two weeks. 

Asher thinks I should do it, I'd be able to pay off most of my student loans — and I'd check in a couple times a day and —"
