My Readers are doubtless Familiar with the many Lies of the Church of Asmodeus, which I will not here Enumerate. But having once Debased our Souls at the Altars of Hell, many of us are proving far too Willing to do the same on the Altars of Heaven. A Lie does not become Truth merely because it comes from the Lips of a Select.

I have been asked by my Fellow Countrymen: Do I not fear the Wrath of the Church, that I put such missives to Paper? I say that these men go too far in mistaking Heaven for Hell. Our Lawful and Good Queen has passed no Decree compelling us to Sing the Praises of Iomedae, and she Welcomes the Faithful of other Churches, so long as they are not among the Fiendish Powers. No Longer are the days when men must fear Death merely for Attacking the Falsehoods of a Church. But this means as well that we have far less Excuse for Accepting such Lies. For it is Cowardice to Recite a Lie on pain of Death, but the Ordinary Cowardice of Most Men. It is far greater Cowardice to Recite a Lie when there is No Penalty at all for Refusing to Preach it.

What, then, are the Lies of Iomedae?

The Church of Iomedae professes to believe that she Commands her Followers not merely to Fight Evil and Do Good, but to Fight Evil and Do Good in the ways that are Most Necessary. I would ask you, now, to Consider what these Evils might be, that her Followers now Fight, and where they may have Turned their Swords now that the Worldwound has been Closed and Cheliax reclaimed from Hell.

The answer is this: many of her Clerics now lend their Aid to King Cyprian in his conquest of Razmir and the Defeat of King Razmir.

I do not deny that King Razmir is a Wicked man, Unworthy of ruling a Kingdom. Nor do I deny that the Subjects of Razmir are Suffering under his rule. But the Wretched State of Razmir has Persisted for Many Decades, and though it surely causes Evil, it is far from the most Pressing Evil of Golarion. Our people have scarcely been free of Hell for a Year, and many of our Souls are still within its Reach, with the Church sending the people of Westcrown a single Lay-Priest until the Convention. Powers far more Wicked than Razmir reign in Unholy Nidal or Undead Geb. I have heard it said (though I know Not whether it is True) that in Brefoi a Foul Curse spirits away any Ruler of Pure Heart to Death, and that in Rahadi all men who even speak the Name of a God are Burned as Heretics.

And the Church of Iomedae declares it Most Necessary to Wage War on a Petty Tyrant?

I do not Deny that the Church of Iomedae is Good. But when they claim to Fight Evil where it is Most Necessary, this is a Lie designed to Win Support from the Other Churches of the Righteous Gods. We ought not accept such Falsehoods as Truth merely because they come from Iomedae's Faithful.
