Yeah. I don't know who all should live there, really, but it seems like an important resource to keep using, especially given the number of... weird technically homeless people we're collecting. I dunno what Faith's planning to do.

Yeah. And the library keeps growing, we'll want to have reliable access.

Yeah. Maybe it'd be best to have Wishbone living there, too, he'd have more to do during the day that way.

Teeechnically we never really resolved the conversation about whether it'd be better to have Azalea and Connor living at Michael's than in a normal house, either.

- yeah. It's probably better to have everyone in one place than to have me running around trying to protect two.

So convenient that I have this perfectly legitimate strategic excuse to try to get my sister to move into an enormous batcave with an enormous library for my ancient magical dog to read.

I can talk to her about it as long as, uh, whoever technically owns the batcave is cool with it.

Technically all Quendi assets are owned by this one guy who manages all our money but he's cool.

...how many Quendi are there?

That's a secret. - uh, all our assets on Earth, I don't know what Valinor does these days and there're millions maybe billions there.

I see.

More material for the Notes on Not-Archangels.

Eventually they arrive at Michael's.

"Hey. We haven't found anything."

"Figures. I'm gonna talk to her."

And she does. Mummy girl cries a lot and holds her head in her deteriorating mummy hands, which aren't moving right anymore, and asks a lot of times whether they're sure they can't come up with anything else. Karen hugs her and lets her cry and tells her that if she's sealed then they can keep looking, it's a big multiverse with lots of nonsense in it, and tells her about the ways that they can make things way more comfortable for her here than they could at the museum, there can be music and TV and Alex can talk to her when she's lonely and ask her if she needs anything, and it'll suck, but it's the best they can do right now, and when their best is something better then they'll make sure they keep doing their best.

She says you can fix the seal.

They go ahead and do that.

Mummy girl goes all the way back to being a mummy.

Can you still hear me? I'm still here -

Yeah. Yeah, we've got you. It's gonna be okay. We have more time to do research now. And I can show you whatever I'm looking at, whenever it's not a secret, in case it's more exciting than the television.

OK. OK. Thank you. - I am sorry, about earlier, it's just - please keep looking.

It's okay, kiddo, everyone else is doing it too, we just don't get mad at them for it. We'll find something.

Karen heads down to find everyone else.

"OK. Mummy situation not solved but no longer acutely time-sensitive. Now I guess we figure out what to do about Drusilla."

"Angel, you're the expert here."

(Angel has reached the point where he's OK talking, as long as he doesn't have to stand up or go anywhere or do anything.)

"Drusilla is - she was the worst thing I ever did. A masterpiece of pain and suffering. She's always been psychic, that's what drew me to her in the first place - that and her - innocence, her piety, her desire to be good. Her powers are enormous, but they're difficult for her to control, particularly if she's alone right now with no one to look after her. She doesn't control which parts of the future she sees. She can read people's auras, but can't often communicate what she finds there. A lot of the time she's too confused to respond reasonably to what she sees. And she's a master of vampire hypnosis, much better at it than anyone else I've ever met. She can mesmerize people, but given enough of an opening she can also - make them see things that aren't there, make them believe they're places they aren't, make them believe that she's someone they know and trust.

"If she's been separated from Spike, she'll want to find him. She doesn't know how to get by on her own."

"Does she have any good way to do that?"

"She might be able to sense him. It wouldn't surprise me, but I'm not sure."

"Bureau has contemplated letting Spike go and then tracking them both."

"The two of them together are even more dangerous than she is alone."

"In theory they think they have a way to neutralize him, but yeah, it's not a thrilling plan. - does she know she can't trust you? Would she go for you, if she got visions about it?"

"I don't know. I haven't seen her in almost a century, and I don't know what she remembers." He sighs. "I don't like the idea of hurting her more than I already have."
