Laia writes a letter.
To Her Majesty the Queen Aspexia III &c,
I am writing to ask after the whereabouts of the reportedly captive lich known as Lady Eriape. If security concerns permit it, I would greatly appreciate the chance to speak to & spiritually counsel her. Possibly this could even be achieved with a view toward proposing to her that she pay your companion Arch-Healer Naima for a resurrection should she have any unseized funds, as this would leave her both no longer undead and also (so far as I am aware) innocent of any post-accession crime. However dreadful the pursuit of lichdom, it was surely long ago, and many of your citizenry who breathe still have crimes of not lesser magnitude behind them yet are permitted your wise and generous amnesty to afford them some time to reflect and change their ways.
I am also troubled about the fate of the awakened badgers she is known to keep and would welcome the opportunity to speak with any of those or other associates of hers who may also have been captured to less fanfare.
A lich, however fearsome, is still in possession of their soul, and that soul's destination is not yet assured. I believe this lich would be motivated to speak to me (for example about common interests in art) and may have the means yet to save herself. Please find it within your heart to permit her the visit or else tell me how I may write her a letter.
Your loyal citizen,
Songbird Laia Solandra
